The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Power feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
McGinnis is adopting a defensive guard.
Power throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Power postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Power stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGinnis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Power drops back, looking for a kneebar! McGinnis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McGinnis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McGinnis!

Power is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McGinnis is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Power stalling away here and it's allowed McGinnis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
McGinnis pulls Power in close to prevent any damage.
McGinnis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Power is one step ahead there.
Power tries to free his leg and advance position but McGinnis is retaining full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGinnis digs a good body shot into Power's ribs.
Power takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and McGinnis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Power seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
McGinnis cracks Power with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Power shoots for a double leg takedown but McGinnis sprawls well. He's pushed Power's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McGinnis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Power sprawling to the canvas! Power rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McGinnis finish him?!

It looks like Max Power has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGinnis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Power momentarily.
Oh Power is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aaron McGinnis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGinnis pounces like a tiger and cracks Power with a vicious hook! Power is down but not out! McGinnis follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Mason wants to control but McMuffin is keeping him busy.

McMuffin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mason should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, McMuffin has tightened it up now! Mason should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
