The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lopette paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lopette. Lopette throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Rogers wants to slow Lopette down by chopping away at his legs. Lopette appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Lopette showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rogers.

Nikitin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at mickeyharts the greatest in the buildup to the fight. Savolainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Savolainen throwing shots but Nikitin is blocking nicely. Nikitin is looking to improve his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Alexandr Nikitin will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pekka throws a front kick aimed at Zarco's knee but Zarco avoids it well. Zarco keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pekka. Zarco throws a half hearted mid kick. Pekka lands a body shot.
Pekka misses with an uppercut. Pekka throws a solid leg kick but Zarco takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pekka. Pekka throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Zarco on the side of the head. Pekka throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Zarco tries a quick counter leg kick but Pekka is wise to it. Pekka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Zarco steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Pekka. Pekka throws a hook but Zarco avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zarco getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A big left from Pekka misses. Pekka takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
