The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monroe throws a right and a left that Mihattovic avoids nicely. Mihattovic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Monroe. Mihattovic does a little dance to reset his feet. Mihattovic lands a big head kick that sends Monroe tumbling to the mat! Mihattovic takes a step backwards and waves Monroe back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Monroe lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Monroe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mihattovic. Oooh a lovely combination from Monroe sends Mihattovic down but not out. Monroe dives into side control looking to finish.
Mihattovic is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Monroe decides to stand back up. Oh Mihattovic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mihattovic walks straight into a right hand from Monroe - that's dropped him! Monroe jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Mihattovic from any more punishment! Mihattovic complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! One rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kahric moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kahric has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Welsh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Handle swivels and escapes. Welsh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Handle is fending him off so far but Welsh persists. Nope, Handle circles away and we're back to standing. We've been told by Handle's head coaches at Death Valley Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Handle looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Welsh on the wrong end of a nice jab. Welsh ducks under a wild hook from Handle. Welsh shoots in and drives through. Handle sprawls well. He's got his arms around Handle's waist but Handle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Welsh off to one side. Handle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Welsh wants to control from the top but Handle keeps moving. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dux lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dux. Dux throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Harris stuffs the takedown attempt from Dux. Dux gets slowly back to his feet. Harris lands a body shot.
Dux shoots in looking for a takedown. Harris tries to sprawl out of it but Dux keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harris manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dux stalks Harris and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harris's face. Harris staggers backwards, shaken. Harris scores with a nice head shot. Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Harris screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
