Hughes throws a lazy uppercut
and Van counters with a nice kick to the body.

Some wild striking there from Hughes.
Van went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Van works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Van . Hughes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Van lands a really nice looking cross but Hughes seems unphased.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hughes is really squeezing tight and eventually Van passes out! Hughes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
