The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Green.
It looks like Nathan Rivers has been cut. Green moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Rivers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rivers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Both fighters take a look at the clock. Green is trying to get back to half guard. Green dodges the ground and pound from Rivers. This has been an exciting period of action! Rivers trying to control the position but Green is working away. Rivers controlling from side mount. Green is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rivers asserts his dominance and retains side control. Green is looking to stand up but Rivers isn't so interested in that idea.

Green has been working on his balance at Silva Jiu Jitsu , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Rivers. Rivers has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Green is trying to keep an underhook but Rivers manages to get the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Green tries to close the distance and clinch but Rivers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rivers instigates a clinch. Green wants to break the clinch but can't.

Green kicks off Rivers and gets to his feet. Green throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rivers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Rivers moves into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Rivers as Green tries to tie him up. Rivers has Green pressed against the cage, preventing Green from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Rivers lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rivers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Green's head. Rivers is nestled in close to Green, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Green trying to control from the bottom.

Brown fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Brown feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cathaway's calf. Cathaway moves into the clinch successfully.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caralho throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease. Jones scores with a head kick. Caralho tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Caralho.
Porra Caralho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Caralho swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Mcmannus tries to clinch up. Silva avoids the head kick by Mcmannus.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mcmannus is defended easily by Silva. Silva throws out a loose jab but Mcmannus uses good head movement to avoid it. Mcmannus lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Mcmannus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva throws a looping overhand right but Mcmannus ducks down to avoid it. Silva throws a nice outside leg kick. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mcmannus counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcmannus is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Mcmannus shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Mcmannus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A shot to the body from Silva misses and Mcmannus counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva moves into range and clinches up with Mcmannus.

Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Silva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mcmannus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva controls the position. Silva stands up and we're back to a striking position. Mcmannus with a body punch. A glancing blow. Silva looks for a takedown but Mcmannus sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mikhailov to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mikhailov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mikhailov landing some decent shots from guard. Mikhailov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mikhailov tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard. Mikhailov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mikhailov should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Silva has tightened it up now! Mikhailov should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Jr Silva! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marques slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat. Silva misses with a right hand and Marques counters by clinching up. Marques manages to break the clinch.
Marques works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination. Marques rushes Silva with punches - Silva moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Silva goes down! Marques follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
