6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Don Handle! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lopez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Handle stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Handle tries to clinch up. Lopez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Handle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lopez looks to land a right hand but Handle moved out of range. Lopez connects with a looping right hand.
Handle dives in and grabs Lopez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lopez pushes down on Handle's head and hops out. Handle gets a takedown into half guard. Handle is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Handle not landing any meaningful shots this time. Handle trying to control the action but Lopez is working from the bottom. Handle throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Handle slows the pace down in half guard. Lopez is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Handle is looking to clinch but Lopez is avoiding it.
Gustavo Lopez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Handle slips under a jab from Lopez. Lopez lands a left and a right that send Handle crashing to the mat, dazed. Lopez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Don Handle has been cut. Handle looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Handle doesn't manage to clinch there - Lopez circles away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lopez misses with a looping left. He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Lopez is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Lopez throws a series of punches but Handle avoids them all with ease. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lopez lands a nice shot to the body.

Handle throws a front kick that sends Lopez stumbling back into the cage. Lopez lands a jab-cross combination. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Handle throws a body kick that misses. Handle fails to land the takedown.

Lopez won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lopez is trying to buck Handle off. Lopez tries to buck Handle off but Handle is having none of it.

Lopez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Handle defending well as Lopez loads up on a big left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Handle moves out of range of the strikes. Handle keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lopez. Lopez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Handle sees it coming and avoids it easily. Handle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Handle looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Handle working for a submission but Lopez is keeping him at bay. Lopez is squirming around, avoiding Handle's attempts to control the action. Handle is working for a guillotine from mount but Lopez frees his head quite easily.

Lopez stops Handle from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Lopez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Handle. Lopez is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Handle looking to finish Lopez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lopez! Handle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gustavo Lopez. I think Lopez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Dillonsan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dillonsan trying to control the action but Faraday is working from the bottom. 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ghoul Ghotha! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Pelle misses. Pelle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ghotha sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ghotha shoots in but no luck this time. Ghotha fails with a takedown attempt. Pelle waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ghotha. Ghotha closes the distance and clinches up with Pelle, looking for a takedown. Ghotha pushes Pelle against the cage but Pelle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rinta Pelle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ghoul Ghotha. Ghotha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pelle as he avoids it easily. Ghotha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pelle is fending him off so far but Ghotha persists. Nope, Pelle circles away and we're back to standing. Donk. Pelle catches Ghotha right on the button with a cross. Ghotha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pelle's waist but Pelle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ghotha off to one side. Ghotha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ghotha thows a big elbow that misses. Ghotha preventing the sweep. Pelle avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ghotha being controlled here momentarily. Pelle wants to sweep here but Ghotha controlling him for the moment. Ghotha postures up.
Pelle pulls Ghotha in close to prevent any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pelle lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Pelle throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ghotha moves out of range of the strikes. Pelle stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ghotha tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pelle swivels and escapes. Ghotha looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pelle looks to land a right hand but Ghotha moved out of range. Ghotha steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pelle. Pelle avoids the body shot from Ghotha.
Ghotha moves away from the strike by Pelle. Pelle is looking to clinch but Ghotha is avoiding it.
Pelle connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ghotha momentarily.
Ghotha shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pelle pinned against the cage. Pelle gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This has been an exciting period of action! Ghotha takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pelle jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ghotha looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ghotha gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pelle. Pelle misses with a two punch combination.
Ghotha shoots in for a takedown but Pelle shows good takedown defense. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pelle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ghotha circles away quickly and effectively. Pelle is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Pelle lands with a short shot to the head. Pelle lands a right hand. Pelle stalls. Pelle lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pelle lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ghotha or not. Pelle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ghotha slips a jab and a cross from Pelle.
Rinta Pelle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pelle connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Pelle connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pelle lands a jab. Pelle throws a looping overhand right but Ghotha ducks down to avoid it. Pelle closes the distance and lands a one-two. Pelle thuds his right hand into Ghotha's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Pelle rushes Ghotha and presses him up against the cage. Pelle manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Pelle is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A jab from Pelle does it's job there. Pelle throws a shot from downtown. Ghotha moves away and avoids it. Pelle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ghotha walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rinta Pelle dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hands drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Faces is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Faces is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Faces is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Faces keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Faces avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hands. Hands trying to control the action but Faces is working from the bottom. Faces won't allow Hands to pass to mount. Hands working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
