The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Smith is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Davis is trying to escape and Smith transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Davis is forced to tap! Nice work there by Smith! Very nice indeed!

Hardman has gone for a leg lock! Ridal slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hardman's guard.


Hardman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ridal is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hardman.

Hardman's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ridal is holding on here and Hardman must be using up a lot of energy. Ridal has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hardman gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

James Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
