Maia shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tyson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Tyson being controlled here, momentarily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Maia's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Maia showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maia slips nicely into half guard. Maia with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Maia in particular looking to stall. Let's hope that Maia has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Tyson moves into full guard.

Maia's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Tyson taking shots to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Maia lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Maia has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tyson's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Maia dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Maia avoids a punch combination nicely.
Maia has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Tyson!

Tyson scores with a sloppy right hand. Maia should have avoided that one. Tyson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tyson wants it to stay on the feet. Tyson scores with a hook to the body. Maia takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tyson works over Maia's head and body with a nice combination. Tyson throws a right and a left that Maia avoids nicely. Tyson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maia moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tyson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tyson throws a right hand that Maia ducks under and follows up with a left that Maia also avoids with ease. Maia dives in for a single leg takedown but Tyson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Tyson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Maia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Well, if Maia is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Maia moves nicely into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Maia controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maia is continuing to stall. Tyson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Maia moves into full mount! Maia controlling from the full mount. Carter content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Barger has locked up a guillotine! Barger's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Carter is holding on here and Barger must be using up a lot of energy. Carter has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Barger gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lopez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Preast lands strikes from half guard.
