The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velazquez tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ari Velazquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velazquez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it. Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Velazquez! Silva sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Velazquez is looking to escape. Silva controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to control the pace but Velazquez is squirming around nicely. Silva controlling from the full mount. Silva seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Velazquez is holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Gao Silva just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Velazquez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Velazquez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Silva is rocked! Velazquez connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off. Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Velazquez moves in close and cracks Silva with a massive right hand! Silva, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Velazquez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Velazquez avoids it really well and circles away. Velazquez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McGee on the side of the head. Velazquez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Velazquez throws a nice looking combination but McGee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Velazquez drops McGee with a naaaaasty hook - McGee is in real trouble here! Velazquez dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily. Kane shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kane off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hideo Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smith wants it to stay on the feet. Kane shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kane keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smith. Both fighters circling a little - Smith finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Kane drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Smith wants to stand and escape but Kane is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kane ducks under a wild hook from Smith. Kane fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A punch combination from Smith misses. Kane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kane drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Smith scores with a jab. Kane acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kane shoots in but no luck this time. Smith swinging wildly here.
Kane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kane is breathing heavily. Smith delivers a nice body kick. No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kane scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Smith makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Kane dodges the punch combination from Smith.

Kane gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kane shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. John Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Smith looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Smith fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kane. Smith lands with a straight right. Kane didn't see that one coming. A nice leg kick lands there from Smith. Kane stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smith. Smith lands a nice looking body shot.

Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A shot to de liver by Smith. Beautiful body shot. Smith jabs at Kane's body. Smith cracks Kane with an open hand slap. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Smith.
Kane chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smith can pounce on him.
Nice shot lands for Smith. Kane sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Smith. Smith is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kane had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Smith sizes up Kane with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Smith throws a series of strikes that have Kane backpedaling.
Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Smith is working the combinations to good effect here. A chopping leg kick lands by Smith. A decent looking cross lands there for Smith. Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kane on the side of the head. Smith dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kane. That did some damage! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Smith goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nice body kick there by Smith. Smith jabs Kane right on the nose. Kane blinks but takes it well. Smith throws a one two combo.
Kane needs to keep his hands up - Smith had a free shot at his head there. Nice uppercut there from Smith. Smith lands with an uppercut that bounces Kane off the cage and back into rage. Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Smith fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kane is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kane looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Smith lands an overhand right. Smith lands with a nice combination. Kane backs away looking to recover. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Smith.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Smith scores with a push kick. Kane on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kane takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A solid leg kick lands there for Smith.
Smith works the jab nicely. Smith bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kane's head. Smith lands a head kick. Kane smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Smith scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Kane is rocked! Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kane. Kane circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Oh Kane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kane chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smith can pounce on him.
Kane seems to have got his legs back now. Smith throws a good cross that connects.
Smith goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Smith feints and then cracks Kane's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kane down. Smith scores with a jab to the jaw. Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kane in his tracks. Smith is looking to slow Kane down with leg kicks. Smith lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Smith dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Smith thumps Kane with a low kick. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Kane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Smith, right into the meat.

Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Kane is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

John Smith seems to be getting the better of the standup. Smith cracks Kane with a right hand to the side of the head. Smith lands a really nice looking cross but Kane seems unphased.
Kane takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith lands a high kick to the side of Kane's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Smith dives into guard, looking to finish. Smith landing with the ground and pound. Smith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kane's guard. Smith is looking to take a break and control but Kane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Smith scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kane is in trouble now - Smith has advanced to mount! Smith unloading with bombs! Smith looking to finish Kane with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kane! Smith lands a big elbow. Smith lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Kane wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Smith celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A kick lands to the mid section there for cuaresma. cuaresma displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Kim Woo has been cut. Woo throws a left and a right that both miss
and cuaresma counters with a nice low kick that buckles Woo's knee momentarily. Woo falls off balance throwing a combination
and cuaresma counters with a low kick, right behind Woo 's knee. Woo is breathing heavily. cuaresma misses with a few strikes there.
cuaresma lands with a nice body punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. cuaresma lands a front kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for cuaresma. cuaresma works over Woo's head and body with a nice combination. Woo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
cuaresma rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Woo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kim Woo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. cuaresma throws a right and a left that Woo avoids nicely. cuaresma stalks Woo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Woo's face. Woo staggers backwards, shaken.
Woo is rocked! Woo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from cuaresma. cuaresma throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Oh Woo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! cuaresma feints a jab and as Woo dips his head, cuaresma unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Woo right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Woo falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! cuaresma smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tabares is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tabares gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Feeler to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tabares looking to hit a scissor sweep but Feeler is one step ahead there. Feeler throws a big right hand that misses. Feeler scoring with some ground and pound. Feeler pushing down on Tabares's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Tabares could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Feeler missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Feeler not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Feeler wants to control but Tabares is keeping him busy. Feeler is nestled in close to Tabares, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tabares is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Feeler throwing strikes from guard but Tabares blocks nicely. Feeler trying to control the position from guard on top but Tabares is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tabares working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Feeler. Feeler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Feeler pushes down on Tabares's leg and manages to get into half guard. Tabares is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Feeler working over Tabares with some ground and pound. Tabares looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Feeler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tabares keeps working. Tabares makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tabares. Feeler throws a strike but Tabares rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Feeler manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Feeler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tabares working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Feeler has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Feeler trying to control the action but Tabares is working from the bottom. Feeler is taking a breather. Tabares says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Feeler connects with a nice short shot to Tabares's temple. Feeler slips a nice elbow through Tabares's hands, connecting with Tabares's forehead. Feeler passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tabares! Feeler in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Feeler waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tabares. Feeler keeps the fight on the outside. Tabares with a poor takedown and Feeler counters with a single leg into guard. Tabares didn't expect that. Feeler scoring with punches to the head and body. Feeler wants to control from the top but Tabares keeps moving. Feeler connects with a couple of short punches. Feeler is working Tabares over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Feeler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Feeler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Feeler passes Tabares's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Feeler lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tabares has hold of Feeler's hands but Feeler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Feeler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tabares keeps working. Runestorm wants to stand but Boc is controlling the position. Boc wants to control from the top but Runestorm keeps moving. Boc has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Boc thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Boc trying to control but Runestorm is working from the bottom. Runestorm wants to stand up but Boc is controlling him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Boc throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Runestorm moves in looking to clinch but Boc pushes him off. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Boc. Runestorm will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Runestorm listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Boc shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Runestorm but Runestorm pushes him off and we're back to square one. Boc throws a head kick that Runestorm semi-blocks.
Sven Runestorm seems to be getting the better of the standup. Runestorm clinches up with Boc and pushes him back against the cage. Runestorm jumps guard but Boc stands there with Runestorm around his waist. Runestorm gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Runestorm throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boc. Boc is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Runestorm. Boc shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Runestorm as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ong Boc. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boc tries to land a front kick but Runestorm steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Boc lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Ong Boc is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Runestorm tries to clinch but Boc moves out of range. Runestorm keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tin Lau! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lau avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dunn misses with a takedown attempt - Lau sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dunn scores with a hook. Dunn bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Lau stalks Dunn and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dunn's face. Dunn staggers backwards, shaken. Lau doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lau takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dunn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dunn trying to control from half guard but Lau is working away. Lau is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lau is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dunn pulls his head out easily. Lau tries to kick Dunn off but Dunn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Dunn wants to control but Lau is keeping him busy. Lau pushes Dunn off looking to stand but Dunn dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lau trying to hold on to Dunn's head to control him but Dunn postures up.

Dunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dunn postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Lau goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dunn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lau but great work by Dunn.

Lau is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dunn looking to control but Lau is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lau manages to regain half guard. Good work. Lau moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dunn passes Lau's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Lau utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lau looking for a guillotine here but Dunn defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dunn keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lau's head. Lau is looking to stand up but Dunn isn't so interested in that idea. Lau pushes Dunn off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Dunn throws a combination that misses and Lau counters with a straight right hand. Lau closes the distance looking to clinch so Dunn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dunn in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dunn advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Lau's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dunn tries to score with some ground and pound. Lau controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Dunn will probably get the nod. That's time! Dunn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Tin Lau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lau looks to clinch and Dunn counters with a single leg into guard. Lau didn't expect that.

Dunn trying to control the position from guard on top but Lau is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mark Dunn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lau throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lau keeping moving, preventing Dunn from controlling successfully. Dunn won't allow Lau to sweep him here. Lau bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dunn's guard. Lau looking to pass the guard. Lau sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dunn's guard.

Lau is looking for a kimura but Dunn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lau to get the leverage. Lau is breathing heavily. Dunn makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dunn. Dunn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lau is one step ahead there. Dunn looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lau has gone for a leg lock! Dunn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lau's guard. Dunn wants to control from the top but Lau keeps moving. Lau looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lau looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dunn puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Lau is looking to improve his position.

Dunn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lau takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dunn trying to control the position from guard on top but Lau is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunn forces his way into half guard. Dunn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lau leaves Dunn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lau looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A left lands for Lau. Lau lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
