That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Teemu Maijanen.

Soler is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Backlund to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Backlund shrugs it off.

Soler is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Backlund is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Backlund flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Soler anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Backlund and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Soler slips an arm under Backlund chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Soler has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Soler is squeezing on Backlund like an anaconda would it's prey. Backlund fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Wazher dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Clark. That did some damage!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Clark crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wazher - the referee stops the clock and Clark gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wazher. Clark manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Wazher gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
