2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Jeffries ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Rem! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rem is looking to score with low kicks. Rem rushes Jeffries and presses him up against the cage. Jeffries lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Sam Rem has been cut. I was talking to Jeffries 's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Jeffries throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rems head. Rem trying to land knees to the body.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Jeffries . Jeffries lands a shoulder strike.
Rem is rocked!
That has opened up Sam Rem's cut even more. Jeffries lands an elbow inside that Rem shrugs off. Rem is still on wobbly legs! Can Jeffries finish him? Jeffries has Rem pressed against the cage. He pushes Rem back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Jeffries throws a beautiful elbow that sends Rem crashing to the floor! Jeffries piles on the pressure with more strikes! Rem is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Earl Jeffries !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anderson showed some decent athleticism there. Wars wants to improve his position but Anderson is controlling well.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Wars is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wars tries to roll over but Anderson keeps him under control. Wars trying to control here.
Anderson seems to be working for a kimura but Wars defends the submission attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wars doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anderson. Anderson is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Anderson controlling the action here. Anderson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Wars tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Anderson!
