3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Smith! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith moves forwards but Taylor connects with a nice, crisp jab. Smith closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Taylor's guard. Taylor wriggles free and stands up. Taylor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Taylor throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range. Taylor misses with a two punch combination.
Smith replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Taylor blocks it well. Taylor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Some wild striking there from Taylor.
A countering left hand to the body from Smith misses. Taylor could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Taylor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. No joy there for Taylor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith shoots in and drives through. Taylor sprawls well. Taylor lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Taylor.
Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Taylor's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith throws a big elbow that misses. Taylor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Smith trying to control but Taylor is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Smith won't allow Taylor to sweep him here. Taylor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Smith is pushing down on Taylor's leg trying to pass to half guard. Taylor is fighting to maintain full guard but Smith has managed to sneak the leg through. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith is pressing down on Taylor's thigh, looking to free his foot. Taylor is holding on for now. Smith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taylor is just riding it out for now. Smith eventually gives up the hold. Smith is trying to control. Taylor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Taylor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Smith has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Taylor defend it? Smith steps over the head and cranks it - Taylor is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Smith!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Smith! After winning the bout, Jack Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
It looked like Dela Rosa was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Dela Rosa thows a left - swing and a miss! We've been informed that Anderson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Anderson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dela Rosa defends well and Anderson ends up having to push Dela Rosa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Anderson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dela Rosa. Anderson staying out of range there. Anderson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Anderson there as he acknowledges the shot. Dela Rosa jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dela Rosa as he avoids it easily. Anderson moves forwards but Dela Rosa connects with a nice, crisp jab. Anderson with a poor takedown and Dela Rosa counters with a straight right hand. Ronald Dela Rosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Anderson. Dela Rosa stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dela Rosa lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Dela Rosa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dela Rosa misses with an uppercut. Dela Rosa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Dela Rosa duly obliges. Dela Rosa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Anderson is rocked!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockhold keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gorman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Rockhold connects with a single shot there. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rockhold misses with a body shot.

Melvin Gorman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gorman shoots in for a takedown but Rockhold shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gorman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Gorman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rockhold lands a head kick. Gorman smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Rockhold throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Gorman shoots in looking for a takedown but Rockhold manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gorman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rockhold misses with a few strikes there.

He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gorman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Gorman throws a head kick but Rockhold moves out of range.

Rockhold will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rockhold sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Gorman dives in for a single leg takedown but Rockhold sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! A combination from Rockhold does no damage. Rockhold lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gorman circles away quickly and effectively. Nice sprawl there from Rockhold as Gorman shoots in. Gorman slips under a jab from Rockhold. A punch combination from Gorman misses. Gorman is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Gorman shoots in looking for a takedown but Rockhold manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gorman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rockhold misses with a body shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Misping is fending him off so far but Paol persists. Nope, Misping circles away and we're back to standing. Misping lands with a cross. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Paol walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Misping dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Misping throws a body punch but Paol moves out of range. Paol tries to counter with a takedown but Misping is quick to defend against it. Misping lunges at Paol with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Paol's hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paol looks for a takedown but Misping sprawls well. Paol shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Misping counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucien Paol. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Misping throws a right hand that Paol ducks under and follows up with a left that Paol also avoids with ease. Paol uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Misping. We've been told by Paol's head coaches at English Top Team - THE Hybrid Gym (11 ELITE ) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Bicheal Misping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paol takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Nice takedown defense from Misping. No joy for Paol on that attempt. Misping lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Bicheal Misping is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Paol ducks under a wild hook from Misping. Paol appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Paol shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Misping stuffs the takedown attempt from Paol. Paol gets slowly back to his feet.

so Paol counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This has been an exciting period of action! Paol thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Paol drops back looking for a leg! Misping is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Misping manages to kick Paol off! Paol jumps back into Misping's guard. Misping tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paol drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Paol jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Paol drops back looking for a leg! Misping is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Misping manages to kick Paol off! Paol jumps back into Misping's guard. Paol preventing the sweep. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Misping can do anything to dispel that myth. Paol has gone for a leg lock! Misping slips out almost immediately though and dives into Paol's guard.
Paol is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Misping has his hands clasped together but Paol extends and breaks Misping's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Paol.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The BiG MaN takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The BiG MaN clinches up with Jepsen and pushes him back against the cage. The BiG MaN blocks a body shot from Jepsen. The BiG MaN using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jepsen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jepsen lands a left hand that snaps the head of The BiG MaN backwards. The BiG MaN fails to pull the fight into his guard.

The BiG MaN gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! The BiG MaN tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Jepsen is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and The BiG MaN buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves The BiG MaN!! The BiG MaN is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Jepsen throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faup tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Faup somewhat. Faup tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johnson defends well and Faup ends up having to push Johnson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Faup drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Johnson wants to sweep but no luck. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Faup from controlling successfully. Johnson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Faup will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Faup is in close to Johnson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Our spies down at at The Iron Palace inform us that Johnson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Faup got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Faup has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson wants to sweep here but Faup controlling him for the moment. Faup stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Faup. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Faup slips nicely into half guard. Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Faup. Faup is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Faup takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Faup is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johnson won't allow Faup to pass to mount. Johnson taking some punishment here, with Faup in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faup moves into full mount! Johnson won't be happy about that! Faup lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Johnson taking shots to the head. Johnson is wriggling around trying to escape.

It looks like Jake Johnson has been cut. Faup has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Faup landing strikes, looking to finish! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Faup lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Faup is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Johnson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That has opened up Jake Johnson's cut even more. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson tries to lock up and control but Faup gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Faup can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape. Faup with shots to the head and body - Johnson looks very uncomfortable down there.
Jake Johnson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
