Rodrigues comes to the cage accompanied by Weight of my Pride . Claudio Rodrigues looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Claudio Rodrigues! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luciano Silva! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva gets caught flat footed, as Rodrigues shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rodrigues gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rodrigues defends it easily. Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodrigues doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodrigues manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rodrigues trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rodrigues stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rodrigues! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Silva has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rodrigues. Oh but Silva has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rodrigues goes limp - he's gone! Silva jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bk Returns! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colsoer darts in and clinches Returns up against the cage. Returns tries to break the clinch but Colsoer is controlling the position. Colsoer has clasped his hands together around Returns's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Colsoer sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Returns is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Returns takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Returns is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Colsoer asserts his dominance and retains side control. Colsoer is working Returns over with some ground and pound from side control. Colsoer creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Colsoer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Returns is trying to get back to his feet. Colsoer working the ground and pound. Returns avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Colsoer. Colsoer has hold of Returns's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Returns seems comfortable defending it but Colsoer has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Returns is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Returns is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Colsoer couldn't care less - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lackey shoots in looking for a takedown. Edwards tries to sprawl out of it but Lackey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Edwards manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lackey leaves Edwards with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lackey moves into the clinch. Edwards trying to land knees to the body.
Lackey breaks the clinch.
Lackey throws a one two combo.
It looks like Mickey Edwards has been cut. Lackey shoots and misses and Edwards counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edwards performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Edwards is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lackey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Edwards. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lackey is looking for a sweep. Edwards is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Edwards stops Lackey from getting back to his feet.
Lackey is trying to maintain the position but Edwards is very close to passing his half guard. Still in half guard, Edwards seems content to control. Lackey is trying to stand.
Edwards is figuring out what he wants to do next. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lackey scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Lackey forces Edwards back against the cage and clinches. Edwards drags the fight down to the ground.
Edwards avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Edwards holds on and takes a little breather. Lackey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lackey won't allow Edwards to sweep him here. Edwards is pulling down on Lackey's head to control his posture. Edwards looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Edwards is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lackey wants to get back to his feet.
Well, if Edwards is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Edwards is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Edwards wants to stand but Lackey has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Edwards wants to pass to mount but Lackey is defending the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lackey is trying to stand back up but Edwards is controlling him
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Edwards takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lackey lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Whit Lackey will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mickey Edwards's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Edwards has managed to clinch.
Lackey prevents the takedown attempt.
Edwards keeps control of Lackey as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Edwards gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Mickey Edwards overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Edwards stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lackey swivels though and keeps the full guard. Edwards postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Edwards is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Edwards prevents Lackey from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Edwards content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Edwards is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lackey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Edwards misses with a head kick.
Lackey was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Edwards looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Lackey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Edwards circles away. Lackey stuns Edwards with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Lackey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Edwards as he avoids it easily. Edwards half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Lackey shoots in looking for a takedown. Edwards tries to sprawl out of it but Lackey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Edwards manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mickey Edwards has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Whit Lackey. Lackey darts in and clinches Edwards up against the cage. Edwards manages to pull guard.
Lackey postures up in Edwards's guard and throws a big left but Edwards blocks it. Edwards seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lackey wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lackey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lackey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Edwards managing to control the position. Lackey is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lackey postures up and lands a big shot to Edwards's brow. Lackey throws a strike but Edwards rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Edwards slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Edwards might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Edwards trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Edwards engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lackey is trying to defend but Edwards finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Edwards is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lackey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lackey pushes Edwards up against the cage in a clinch. Lackey is looking to break free of the clinch but Edwards has double underhooks. Lackey tries to break free but Edwards pushes him back against the cage. Edwards jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lackey walks away with a smile on his face. Edwards gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Edwards closes the distance and clinches. Edwards drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mickey Edwards. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lackey gets underhooks to prevent Edwards's takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lackey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Edwards has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lackey after a bit of a struggle. Lackey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Edwards takes one on the button. Edwards fails with the takedown and Lackey counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lackey lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Lackey sends Edwards crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lackey is motioning to the referee to let Edwards up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Edwards is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lackey chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Oh Edwards is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lackey closes the distance and pushes Edwards back into the cage. Edwards seems to have got his legs back now. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lackey. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Lackey is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Edwards is defending well. Lackey avoiding damage as Edwards throws knees to the body.
Lackey tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Edwards's elbow. Lackey is pressed up against the cage. Edwards has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lackey down to the mat. Lackey avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Edwards defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lackey. Lackey jabs Edwards right on the nose. Edwards blinks but takes it well. Lackey connects with a solid leg kick. Edwards shoots and misses and Lackey counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mickey Edwards is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lackey goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Edwards shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Edwards showed some decent athleticism there. Edwards perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
And that's the end of the fight! Whit Lackey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lackey has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

James takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A looping hook to the body misses from Lyon. James does a little dance to reset his feet. James lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Lyon connects with a looping right hand.
Lyon misses with a right hand and James counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James lands a nice hook to Lyon's body. Lyon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lyon seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. James bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. James is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Lyon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Lyon. James swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Lyon misses. Despite the aggression on James's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. A swing and a miss from Lyon. Lyon misses the shot to the body. Lyon has closed the distance and engaged James in a clinch.
Lyon lands with a short punch from the clinch.
James is trying to force a seperation but Lyon has the dominant position. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lyon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A nice right hand lands inside from Lyon. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lyon as James tries to tie him up. Lyon scores with a shot to the side of James's head.

A short body shot lands from Lyon as the two fighters clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trang tries to clinch but Wallace is having none of it. An attempted straight right counter from Wallace misses the target. Trang wants to clinch and Wallace counters with a nice body shot. Trang has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Wallace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wallace paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wallace has been working on his boxing with his coaches at SinPro Gym in the buildup to the fight. Wallace jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Vu Trang has been cut. Wallace throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Trang stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Wallace lands a lovely overhand right. Wallace cracks Trang with a hook to the temple - Trang is on wobbly legs here! Wallace swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Trang falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Wallace wins by TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crusher thuds his right hand into Galvao's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Galvao shoots and misses and Crusher counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Galvao looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Galvao throws a predictable looking body shot
and Crusher counters with a nice uppercut. Galvao drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Galvao looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crusher is fending him off so far but Galvao persists. Nope, Crusher circles away and we're back to standing. Crusher tries to counter with a clinch but Galvao shakes him off and moves away. Crusher closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Crusher tries to throw a body punch but Galvao avoids it by throwing Crusher back against the cage. Crusher softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A short left from Crusher. Crusher lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy misses the jab. A little feinted left hand from Offley on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Offley shoots in looking for a takedown. Murphy tries to sprawl out of it but Offley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Murphy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Murphy misses with a hook. Offley ducked under it nicely. Murphy has managed to clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Murphy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Offley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Offley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Offley appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Offley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Murphy is looking to slow Offley down with leg kicks. Offley defending well as Murphy loads up on a big left hand. Offley shoots in and gets a takedown into Murphy's guard. Murphy has Offley pulled in close to control his posture. Offley shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Murphy has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Offley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Murphy. Offley tries to counter with a takedown but Murphy is quick to defend against it. Murphy throws a head kick but Offley moves out of range.

Kettu takes a swing at Machado's ribcage but misses. Jab, jab by Kettu - just one landing. Machado shoots in but Kettu avoids the takedown attempt easily. Machado clobbers Kettu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Machado takes a swing at Kettu's ribcage but misses. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Machado has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Machado falls backwards - clearly groggy! Kettu dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

After the fight, Kalle Kettu was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things.
