0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Cooper! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper gets tackled into the cage by Kung. Kung maintains the clinch. Cooper's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
It looks like John Cooper has been cut. Kung lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kung works on Cooper's body with a couple of short punches. A short left from Kung. Kung scores with an uppercut up the middle. Kung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kung moves into the clinch successfully.
Kung gets through Cooper's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kung pushes Cooper back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Kung tries to score a body lock takedown but Cooper shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kung working some nice short punches in the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kung presses Cooper against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Cooper looks winded! Cooper misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kung makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A short right from Kung on the inside. Kung lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cooper backwards. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kung creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kung lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cooper or not. A short uppercut from Kung. Kung working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Cooper is rocked! Kung creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Cooper's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Cooper drops to his knees and Kung pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wo Kung! Wo Kung spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maroney drives through and clinches with Hayden against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Hayden's face as he tries to break the clinch. Maroney breaks from the clinch.
Hayden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hayden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Maroney throws a leg kick and Hayden counters with a crisp one two that drops Maroney! Hayden thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Maroney to his feet! Maroney is in big trouble! Sloppy strikes from Maroney. Those never looked like landing. Hayden attempts a counter takedown but Maroney avoids it well and moves away. Hayden misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hayden sends Maroney crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hayden is motioning to the referee to let Maroney up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Boney Maroney has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maroney drives through and clinches with Hayden against the cage.
Maroney is still on wobbly legs! Can Hayden finish him? Hayden tries to break free but Maroney pushes him back against the cage. Maroney using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hayden has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Maroney seems to have recovered his senses. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Maroney. Hayden definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Hayden wants to get back to striking at distance but Maroney won't allow it.
Maroney pushes Hayden back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Maroney. Maroney digs a right hand into Hayden's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hayden's gas tank. Hayden takes a shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maroney has Hayden pressed against the cage, preventing Hayden from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Maroney misses with an elbow over the top. Maroney changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hayden fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Maroney has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Maroney slips a jab from Hayden. Maroney shoots in for a takedown but Hayden shows good takedown defense. Hayden fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Maroney looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Maroney looks winded! Hayden displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maroney. Daniel Hayden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boney Maroney. Hayden misses with a wild combination.

Hayden throws a right and a left that Maroney avoids nicely. Hayden changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nice defenses there by Maroney. Oooooh!!! Hayden has knocked Maroney down with a huge combo! Hayden steps away and waves a wobbly Maroney back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Hayden dances in with a quick combination. Maroney is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hayden snaps Maroney's head back. Maroney stumbles backwards against the cage. Hayden steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Maroney's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Maroney just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Daniel Hayden! A relieved looking Daniel Hayden thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Barklong throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Adam drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Barklong defends it well. Adam manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Barklong on his heels. He'll look to pass Barklong's guard now, I'm sure. Adam tries to free his leg and advance position but Barklong is retaining full guard. Adam is pushing down on Barklong's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barklong is fighting to maintain full guard but Adam has managed to sneak the leg through. Barklong is breathing heavily. Adam is trying to control. Barklong wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Adam wants to pass the guard but Barklong is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adam passes to full mount! Adam trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Saka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brickhackski moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brickhackski swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Brickhackski walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice cross by Saka. Brickhackski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Saka. A little feinted left hand from Brickhackski on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. That's three minutes gone in the round. Saka connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Saka misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Brickhackski to counter with a crisp jab. Saka scores with the left hand. Brickhackski knows he should have avoided that one. Saka misses the shot to the body. Brickhackski walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Saka scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brickhackski takes one on the button. Saka connects with a right hand. Brickhackski shakes it off. Saka connects with a right hand. Takomi Saka dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Brickhackski walks straight into a right hand from Saka - that's dropped him! Saka jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Brickhackski from any more punishment! Brickhackski complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calypso gets a clinch. Calypso scores with a shot to the side of Ruttenum's head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Calypso creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Calypso throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ruttenums head. Ruttenum drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
I was talking to Calypso's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Ruttenum wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Calypso lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Calypso lands with a right to the head. Calypso scores with a nice hook to the head. Nice body punch from Calypso - that landed with a thud.
Calypso's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Calypso works on Ruttenum's body with a couple of short punches. Ruttenum tries to pull guard but Calypso forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Calypso lands with a short shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calypso slowing the pace effectively. Calypso lands a body punch in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Calypso creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ruttenum wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A bit of stalling here from Calypso.

Calypso seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
