Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Sands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sands might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Irish Soldier Song ... Free & Green. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sands shoots in for a takedown but Mac shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mac swings for the body but Sands moves out of range.
Sands feinted with a counter takedown.
Mac fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sands has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sands shoots in but Mac avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mac throws a head kick that misses.
Mac lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mac throws a right and a left that Sands avoids nicely.
Sands walks into a straight right hand from Mac.

Sands dives in and grabs Mac's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mac pushes down on Sands's head and hops out.

Sands changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mac tries to avoid it but Sands manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mac to the ground. Mac escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
