The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cage is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Torres screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pewschewe Tigkwub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pewschewe Tigkwub had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Tigkwub is trying to pull guard but Buck turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Tigkwub tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Buck just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tigkwub really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Buck wants the takedown. Tigkwub is fighting it off but Buck persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tigkwub's guard against the cage.

Buck manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Buck continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Tigkwub lands with a shot to the body.
Buck takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Buck manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Tigkwub tries to pull guard but Buck holds him up against the cage and eventually Tigkwub drops back down to his feet.

Buck has hold of one of Tigkwub's legs. Tigkwub is fighting the takedown attempt but Buck gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Tigkwub has an active guard here but Buck has managed to pass into half guard.

Tigkwub working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Buck doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Buck manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Buck uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tigkwub.

Buck has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tigkwub clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Tigkwub rolls, trying to escape but Buck keeps control of the position.

Tigkwub just trying to survive but Buck is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Tigkwub is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Buck.

Buck has his hands clasped together around Tigkwub's back. He's all about the action.

Buck pushes Tigkwub off but Tigkwub dives into side control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Buck. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Tigkwub wants to control but Buck is keeping him busy.
Buck has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tigkwub wants to control for a moment but Buck uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Tigkwub wants to take a breather but Buck is having none of it.
Buck tries to get to full guard but Tigkwub has control of the leg.

Tigkwub is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Buck defends it well.
Buck is staying active underneath Tigkwub, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tigkwub is stalling here. Buck is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Tigkwub seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Buck has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Tigkwub is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Buck off and has taken his back!

Buck tries to escape the position.
Buck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tigkwub. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Buck is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tigkwub gets his way!

Duff drives through with a takedown into Edwards's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Duff thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Edwards has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Duff has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Duff is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Edwards can't fight it off and eventually Duff manages to take the fight to the floor. Edwards looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Edwards wants to sweep but no luck.
Duff wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving.
Duff working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Edwards preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Duff's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Duff passes Edwards's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Duff seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Duff slips a nice elbow through Edwards's hands, connecting with Edwards's forehead.

Duff creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Duff is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Edwards is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Edwards takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Duff dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Duff is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Edwards.
Duff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duff wants it to stay on the feet.
It seemed like Duff was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Duff throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Duff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Edwards on his heels. He'll look to pass Edwards's guard now, I'm sure.

Duff has an Americana. Edwards didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Duff is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Duff hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
