Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez has chosen Brazilian Fight Song by Stephane Attias as his entrance music. Benny Cortez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Murphy comes to the cage accompanied by Battering Ram - 'Come Out and Fight' Irish Folk. Yamada has chosen good luck as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Murphy grinds an elbow into Yamada's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murphy has hold of Yamada's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Yamada tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Murphy cranks the arm and Yamada screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Yamada, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Daniel Murphy spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.

Silva manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Jones keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Silva to keep the fight standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Jones is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Silva has latched onto it... Big trouble! Silva pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Jones is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Silva!

Bravo unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Oliveira! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Bravo is unloading with more strikes now! Oliveira drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

After winning the bout, Johnny Bravo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
