Undercard bout

Voilier kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I came to play. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd jabs Voilier to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Shepherd missing with a left hand there. Voilier was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Shepherd bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Voilier dives in for a single leg takedown but Shepherd sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Voilier has been working on his balance at Street Fighter MMA (Cheepest gym $200 per Week), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Shepherd.

Shepherd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Voilier's guard.

Shepherd flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Voilier anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Shepherd and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Voilier slips an arm under Shepherd chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Voilier has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Voilier is squeezing on Shepherd like an anaconda would it's prey. Shepherd fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Amadeus Venturo struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. and Carmen is countered with a crisp right hand from Wyatt that sends him to the canvas! Wyatt follows him to the mat into side control.

Carmen is rocked!

Shane Carmen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carmen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wyatt controls the position.
Carmen is still in real trouble! Can Wyatt finish him?
Carmen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Carmen seems to have recovered his senses.
Wyatt advances to full mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carmen is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Wyatt sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Carmen is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Wyatt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You get the feeling that Carmen really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Wyatt content just to control the position here.
Carmen wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wyatt controlling from the full mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carmen is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Wyatt controlling the pace for now.
Wyatt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Derp Wyatt dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Wyatt clinches with his opponent.

Wyatt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wyatt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wyatt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wyatt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wyatt lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Wyatt throws a body kick that misses
and Carmen counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Derp Wyatt has been cut.
Carmen throws the left hand but Wyatt avoids the punch easily.
Carmen misses with a hook.
Carmen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wyatt lands a lovely overhand right.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shane Carmen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Derp Wyatt!
Derp Wyatt decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
