The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks to land a right hand but Khalafa moved out of range.
Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.
Khalafa scores with a three punch combo!
Smith thows a body kick. Khalafa tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A slapping leg kick lands for Smith.
Smith misses with the combination.
Khalafa misses with a looping left.
Smith tries to bum rush Khalafa with a series of wild strikes but Khalafa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smith is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Khalafa doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Smith crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Smith's bad books for that mishap!

It looks like Damian Kita has been cut.
Poro ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kita shoots for a double leg takedown but Poro sprawls well. He's pushed Kita's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Poro drops Kita with a beautiful combination! Kita stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Poro is looking for the KO!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kita's coach down at ReVoLuT!oN !sL@nD GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kita's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Poro swings for the body but Kita moves out of range.
Kita gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Poro gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kita is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Shermann has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Nevalainen has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
