The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kevin Rush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rush misses with a head kick.
Brown appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Brown lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rush backs up against the cage.
Brown throws a right and a left that Rush avoids nicely.
Brown smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
We've been hearing reports that Rush has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rush chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Rush tries to land a front kick but Brown steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown's coach down at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Brown's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Brown tries to break the clinch but Rush is controlling the position.
Brown wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rush drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brown wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rush misses with a punch to the body.
Rush will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Brown up against the cage.
Rush landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Brown wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Brown is trying to force a seperation but Rush has the dominant position.
Rush pushes Brown back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Rush has picked Brown up - he's going for a ride! Rush dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Rush is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brown has managed to free his arm - good work.

Rush wants to take a breather but Brown is having none of it.

Rush in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Brown tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Rush!

A very excited looking Kevin Rush rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Ring tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Poulter looks to score with a jab to the body but Ring is just out of range.
Poulter lands with a shot to the body.
Ring pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ring misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ring wobbles Poulter with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Ring dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Poulter to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Edmodson comes to the cage accompanied by Deorro - Yee. Goran Schwarzeneg told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! Deux throws an overhand right that drops Anstey like a sack of potatoes! Deux dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Numero Deux is the new heavyweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Numero Deux thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
