The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cash steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Punk. Cash tries to counter by closing the distance. Punk on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cash moves into range and clinches up with Punk. Punk is trying to push Cash away but Cash has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Punk wants to get back to striking at distance but Cash won't allow it.
Cash keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Punk's efforts to push away. A nice left hand lands by Cash.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lickertwat drives through and clinches with Hero against the cage.
Hero lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Lickertwat has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hero uses from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hero is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lickertwat utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lickertwat is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hero distracts Lickertwat with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hero throwing strikes from guard but Lickertwat blocks nicely. Lickertwat is trying to control the position but Hero postures up. Lickertwat keeping full guard, as Hero tries to pass. Lickertwat looking for a sweep. Not yet Lickertwat, not yet. Lickertwat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hero's guard. Hero manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lickertwat manages to get himself to full guard.
Hero keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lickertwat's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lickertwat trying to control the position.

Shang tries to clinch but Harris is having none of it. Shang takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Hai Shang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A right-left combo lands from Shang. Shang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harris as he jumps to the side.

A countering left hand to the body from Karhu misses. A kick lands to the mid section there for Molovgomedov. Molovgomedov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Karhu. Karhu obviously looking to wear him down.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmons leaves Pablo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Pablo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Simmons sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pablo somewhat. Pablo swinging wildly here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pablo connects with a nice short shot to Simmons's temple. Pablo thows an elbow strike that misses. Simmons gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Pablo doesn't seem too bothered but Simmons quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Pablo is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Pablo really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Creeper closes the distance and clinches. Creeper is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wolf is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Creeper to the mat. Creeper regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Wolf trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wolf loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Creeper is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wolf defends well. Creeper is controlling Wolf's posture. Wolf content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Creeper is trying to keep Wolf in close.

Jaxee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Holgersson. Holgersson moves into full mount! Jaxee won't be happy about that! Holgersson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jaxee is looking to escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holgersson is really struggling to control Jaxee but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jaxee is desperately trying to improve his position but Holgersson has a good base and remains in mount.
