The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Day manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Day slips under a jab from Griffin.
Griffin moves out of range of the body kick from Day.
Day throws out a leg kick but Griffin moves out of range and Day only half commits.
Day avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Griffin misses with an uppercut
and Day counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Griffin throws a jab but it's blocked by Day.
Day looks to score with a jab to the body but Griffin is just out of range.
Griffin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Day moves away.
Day thinks about countering with a body kick.
Gary Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Day shoots for a takedown but Griffin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Day ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Griffin moves away.

Oh Day is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Griffin counters with a crisp right that sends Day to the canvas! Griffin follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Peter Griffin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Mohammed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mugabe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've been hearing that Mugabe has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Mohammed is pushing Mugabe's head away, looking to escape. Mugabe manages to hold on to the position though.

Mugabe works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
