Rougeau gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Scott to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rougeau looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Scott stands up over Rougeau, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Scott is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Scott advances to half guard. Scott throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Scott decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Rougeau misses with a head kick.
Scott clinches up against the cage.
Scott is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rougeau can't fight it off and eventually Scott manages to take the fight to the floor. Rougeau looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Scott has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rougeau is trying to keep an underhook but Scott manages to get the takedown into half guard. Rougeau wants to get back to his feet.
Rougeau wants to control but Scott is keeping busy and won't allow it. Rougeau is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Scott is looking for a kimura but Rougeau is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Scott to get the leverage. Scott looks gassed!

Scott is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rougeau defends it well. Scott seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rougeau does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rougeau doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Scott.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rougeau is trying hard to land a takedown here. Scott sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Scott shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rougeau napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rougeau tries to improve position but can't. Scott wants to control but Rougeau is keeping him busy. Rougeau is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scott postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

This has been an exciting period of action! Goodnight effectively controlling the action here. Goodnight seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Goodnight lands an elbow that stopped Blackfish in his tracks for a moment. Goodnight is pushing Blackfish up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Tram gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jackson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jackson letting Tram take a breather here. Tram works on Jackson's body with a couple of short punches. Jackson takes a knee to the side of the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tram stalling the fight.

Tram feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tram slips nicely into half guard. Tram throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Tram is pressing down on Jackson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jackson is holding on for now.

Jackson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tram - the referee stops the clock and Jackson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tram. Jackson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tram uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jackson. Jackson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Tram will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Aneurysm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Aneurysm fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cote looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cote crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Aneurysm - the referee stops the clock and Cote gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Aneurysm. Cote manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. A head kick misses from Aneurysm. Aneurysm will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Ouellette will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

No, Smart has managed to get both his arms back between Ouellette's legs - danger averted. Smart throwing strikes from guard but Ouellette blocks nicely. And that's the end of the fight! Jacques Francel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Francel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
