The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Spice with that takedown attempt.
Spice shoots for a double leg takedown but Rocket sprawls well. He's pushed Spice's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rocket lands with a shot to the body.
Spice fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Spice fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rocket to the ground. Spice is now in Rocket's guard.
Spice connects with a couple of short punches.
Rocket really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Spice is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Spice passes Rocket's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Spice slips a nice elbow through Rocket's hands, connecting with Rocket's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rocket is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Spice scores with a couple of nice shots.
Spice moves into full mount! Rocket won't be happy about that!

Rocket takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Spice trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Rocket is bucking up trying to escape but Spice cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Spice pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Rocket slaps away a takedown attempt from Spice, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Spice takes one on the button.
Rocket scores with the left hand. Spice knows he should have avoided that one.
Rocket lands with a hook. Spice tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Spice shoots in but no luck this time.
Rocket lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Rocket gets through Spice's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Spice tries for a takedown but Rocket manages to get underhooks.

Spice has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rocket avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Spice goes for a takedown attempt but Rocket pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Rocket drops Spice with a beautiful combination! Spice stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rocket is looking for the KO!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rocket dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Spice is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rocket lands a brutal uppercut that launches Spice off his feet! Spice tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Trumpsfeld lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Trumpsfeld throws a jab but it's blocked by Shelton.
Trumpsfeld connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shelton momentarily.

Trumpsfeld lands a big uppercut and Shelton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shelton looks OK. Trumpsfeld waves Shelton back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trumpsfeld fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Shelton to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Shelton looks to clinch but Trumpsfeld throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Shelton taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Nastanovich shoots in for a takedown but Mill shows good takedown defense.
Mill takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nastanovich but Nastanovich pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nastanovich keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mill.

Mill leaves Nastanovich with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nastanovich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nastanovich as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nastanovich dives in and grabs Mill's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mill pushes down on Nastanovich's head and hops out.

Nastanovich rolls with it to try and escape but Mill cranks on the arm and Nastanovich is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Olivera takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Del Mar lands a body shot.
Del Mar thuds his right hand into Olivera 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Charles Olivera has been cut.
Olivera takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Olivera takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Del Mar scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Olivera doesn't seem bothered though.
Del Mar connects with a right hand. Olivera shakes it off.
Del Mar fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Olivera on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Del Mar cracks Olivera with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Del Mar has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Olivera to stand back up!

Del Mar lands a big uppercut and Olivera crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Olivera looks OK. Del Mar waves Olivera back to his feet!

Del Mar jabs Olivera to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Del Mar lands with a cross.
Del Mar is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Olivera had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Olivera circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Del Mar. Olivera falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Del Mar!
