Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Tomasello ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Cooper! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurstr�m, Arvi Lind and Roosa J�rvil�inen.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Tomasello gets a takedown into half guard.
Cooper kicks off Tomasello and gets to his feet. Cooper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tomasello moves away. Cooper throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tomasello on the side of the head. Tomasello scores with a nice strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cooper throws a shot from downtown. Tomasello moves away and avoids it. Cooper throws a right hand that misses
and Tomasello moves into the clinch. Cooper stops a takedown attempt from Tomasello .
Tomasello is working for takedown but Cooper is calmly controlling the position for now. Cooper wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tomasello has him pressed against the cage. Tomasello is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Tomasello . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tomasello gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cooper regains guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Cooper's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tomasello under the eye. Nice straight punches there by Cooper. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cooper.
Tomasello shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cooper napping and manages to drive through into side control! This has been an exciting period of action! Cooper is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Tomasello throws a strike aimed at the side of Cooper's head but Cooper avoids it well. Cooper prevents Tomasello from moving into mount. An elbow from Tomasello crashes against the mat.
Tomasello prevents Cooper from escaping the position. Cooper is not content to let Tomasello control the position. Cooper felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooper is pushing Tomasello 's head away, looking to escape. Tomasello manages to hold on to the position though. Tomasello wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cooper keeps working. Tomasello throws an elbow but Cooper slips to the side and avoids it well. Cooper is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Cooper bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tomasello 's head backwards. Cooper moves out of range of the strikes. Cooper swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tomasello throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cooper sees it coming and avoids it easily. A little jabbing left from Cooper on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Tomasello closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tomasello lands in his opponent's guard. Tomasello throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cooper works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cooper is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tomasello is controlling him. Tomasello distracts Cooper with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Cooper wants to stand but Tomasello is controlling the position. Tomasello with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cooper wants to stand but Tomasello is controlling the position. Tomasello wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Cooper is refusing to be controlled, as Tomasello sits in half guard. Cooper blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tomasello . We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tomasello seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tomasello has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

and Cooper counters with a lovely shot to the body. Cooper scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tomasello doesn't seem bothered though. Tomasello ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Cooper uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Cooper misses with a looping right. Tomasello fails in his attempt to clinch. Cooper swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tomasello tries to clinch but Cooper moves out of range. Cooper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cooper walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tomasello scores with a body shot.
John Cooper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cooper takes a swing at Tomasello 's ribcage but misses. John Cooper seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tomasello misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Tomasello changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cooper tries to avoid it but Tomasello manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cooper to the ground. Cooper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cooper lands a body shot.
Cooper throws a right and a left that Tomasello avoids nicely. Tomasello throwing a counter right hand but Cooper manages to avoid it. Cooper misses with a two punch combination.
Cooper uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tomasello . Cooper has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cooper tries to counter with a clinch but Tomasello shakes him off and moves away. A big right from Tomasello misses. Tomasello looks to land a combination but Cooper avoids it well. Cooper slips a jab and a cross from Tomasello .
Cooper goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Tomasello misses the shot to the body. Cooper scores with a hook. Tomasello walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Cooper drops Tomasello with a left and a right! Oh, Tomasello is hurt - Cooper dives into side control looking to finish!
 Tomasello is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tomasello tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cooper wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Oh Tomasello is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Cooper working the head and body with strikes. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
John Cooper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A punch lands to the side of Tomasello 's head but he takes it in his stride. Tomasello gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Cooper gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draven wants to slow Edgar down by chopping away at his legs. Draven dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Edgar. That did some damage! A jab from Edgar finds it's way through Draven's defenses. Nice sprawl there from Draven as Edgar shoots in. Edgar takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Eric Draven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Draven ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Edgar has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Edgar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Draven. Edgar has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Draven. Edgar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Draven. Edgar scores with a nice head shot. A slapping body kick lands there for Draven. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Edgar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Draven. Edgar takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Edgar takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Draven.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Edgar might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Draven avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Draven has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Draven lands with a right hand. Draven is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Edgar rather than just go for the knockout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Edgar tries for a takedown but Draven sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Draven lands a big head kick that sends Edgar tumbling to the mat! Draven takes a step backwards and waves Edgar back to his feet - he wants the finish! Draven closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Edgar! Draven dives in looking to finish! Edgar is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kravichenko moves into range and connects with a jab. Kravichenko throws a good cross that connects.

Kravichenko clobbers Day with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Day misses with a body kick. Kravichenko throws a shot from downtown. Day moves away and avoids it. Kravichenko digs a good body shot into Day's ribs. Kravichenko jabs Day right on the nose. Day blinks but takes it well. Kravichenko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A decent looking cross lands there for Day. Kravichenko misses with a double jab.

Kravichenko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kravichenko throws a jab when Day was well out of range. Kravichenko has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Day is looking to chop away at Kravichenko's legs. Kravichenko connects with a body shot. Day on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kravichenko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Kravichenko tries to get set, Day tries to push him back and clinch up but Kravichenko manages to avoid the attempt. Day stuns Kravichenko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bay tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance. Bay misses with a takedown attempt and Brown counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bay shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely. Bay has been working on his balance at CT + BJJ & Wrestling sparring gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Brown.

Gravano throws a lazy right hand but Gardenia sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Gardenia closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Gravano shoots in for a takedown but Gardenia shows good takedown defense. Gravano misses the shot to the body. Gravano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gardenia.  That's one minute gone in the round. Gravano misses with a hook. Gardenia ducked under it nicely. Gardenia swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Gardenia takes a swing at Gravano's ribcage but misses. Gravano avoids the body shot from Gardenia.

Gardenia controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Gravano works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Gravano working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
 Gardenia is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee asks Gravano politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Gravano prefers to stall for the moment though. Gardenia on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Oh Gardenia is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Gravano cracks Gardenia with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Gravano immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Gardenia is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Gravano!
