The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Holofernes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Holofernes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Ei counters with a three punch combo that has Leonidas backing up. Leonidas nods at Ei to acknowledge the strikes.

We've been hearing reports that Leonidas has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Leonidas creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Zeus Leonidas has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ei is pressed up against the cage. Leonidas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ei down to the mat. Ei avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zeus Leonidas. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Leonidas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Eis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Leonidas goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ei rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Leonidas's guard! Nice work there by Ei!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ei got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leonidas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ei has managed to get both his arms back between Leonidas's legs - danger averted.

Ei engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Ei is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Leonidas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ei controls the pace.

Ei stands up and waves to Leonidas to follow him.
Leonidas misses with a straight left.
Ei swings for the body but Leonidas moves out of range.
Leonidas is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Ei thows a body kick. Leonidas tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Leonidas dives in for a single leg takedown but Ei sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zeus Leonidas.

A very excited looking Zeus Leonidas rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
