Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lotos Samus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wise comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Girls- Palisades. Lotos Samus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samus connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Jacob Wise has been cut. Wise misses the jab. Wise will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It seemed like Samus was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Samus scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wise in his tracks. Samus scores with a hook. Wise moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. BOOM! Samus lands a beautiful left hook that drops Wise. Wise tries to recover but Samus is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Wise lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Babakov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mac looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Mac fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Babakov looks to throw the jab but Mac is out of range. Babakov slips a straight right by Mac. Babakov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mac manages to avoid it. Babakov throws a good cross that connects.
Mac throws a body punch but Babakov moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mac blocks a jab. Babakov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Mac throws a chopping leg kick but Babakov manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Mac throws an overhand right that lands on Babakov's shoulder, as Babakov tries to avoid the shot. Babakov seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Quincy gets through Wu's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Wu is rocked! A nice right hand lands inside from Quincy. Oh Wu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Quincy unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Wu! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Quincy is unloading with more strikes now! Wu drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Quincy! A very excited looking Michael Quincy rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

He's got hold of a leg but Berg swivels and escapes. Berg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bouyer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Berg sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bouyer somewhat. Berg misses with a takedown attempt - Bouyer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Berg definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bonaparte lands with a nice body punch. Bonaparte cracks Lao Liikta with a good jab. Lao Liikta tries to clinch but Bonaparte moves out of range. Bonaparte slaps away a takedown attempt from Lao Liikta, before circling back to the center of the mat. aTtaaas Lao Liikta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lao Liikta fails to land the takedown. Bonaparte's coach down at Next Gen MMA (Only Elite coaches) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bonaparte's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Bonaparte lands a nice hook to Lao Liikta's body. Lao Liikta takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lao Liikta closes the distance but Bonaparte moves to the side and Bonaparte connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bonaparte uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lao Liikta has time to react. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lao Liikta on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lao Liikta tries for a takedown but Bonaparte sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for aTtaaas Lao Liikta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bonaparte will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Harrak lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Harrak clobbers Oleynik with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A jab from Harrak misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Oleynik misses with a hook to the body
and Harrak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oleynik throws the left hand but Harrak avoids the punch easily. Oleynik's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Harrak connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Oleynik scrambles back to his feet. Harrak lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Oleynik is still on wobbly legs! Can Harrak finish him? Harrak lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Oleynik falls backwards - clearly groggy! Harrak dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hackett throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. Hackett connects with a high kick. Jones lands a jab to Hackett's midsection. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Hackett. Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jones misses with a few strikes there.

Hackett avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hackett counters with a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones misses with a hook. Hackett ducked under it nicely. Hackett scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like John Jones has been cut. Jones tries to bum rush Hackett with a series of wild strikes but Hackett uses good footwork to avoid the assault. We've been told by Hackett's head coaches at Next Gen MMA (Only Elite coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Hackett lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily. Hackett lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A jab from Jones misses. Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hackett. Hackett connects with a high kick. Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hackett lands a head kick. Jones smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Hackett lands with a nice body kick.

Hackett is looking to slow Jones down with leg kicks. A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target. Hackett feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf. Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hackett was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. Hackett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jones looks winded! Hackett lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones avoids the head kick by Hackett.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Good shot there by Hackett. Hackett fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice body kick from Hackett. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hackett, as that shot connected.
Jones is rocked! Jones's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Nice body kick from Hackett. Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Hackett finish him? Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hackett. Jones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Hackett! This one is all over!
