The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cho fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cho has a takedown stuffed. Matthews with the counter takedown but Cho avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Matthews as Cho shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimble Cho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cho fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Matthews avoids it really well and circles away. Matthews is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cho! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monster rushes Barbosa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Barbosa on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Monster has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barbosa after a bit of a struggle. Barbosa has a couple of punches blocked by Monster.
Barbosa letting Monster take a breather here. Barbosa turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Barbosa manages to end up in side control. Barbosa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Monster is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Monster is positioning himself to get back to half guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Barbosa tightening his grip on Monster, looking for the choke. Barbosa is punishing Monster with strikes - can he finish him?! Barbosa slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Barbosa has the hooks in. Monster is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Barbosa is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Monster is defending well though. Barbosa let's go of the attempt for now. Barbosa has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Monster's body.

Barbosa is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Monster shoots in but no luck this time. Monster tries to clinch up and Barbosa counters with a one-two to the body. Monster throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Barbosa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Monster gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Barbosa wants to control from the top but Monster keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barbosa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Barbosa's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Downes tries to clinch but Jon moves out of range. Downes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Downes scrambles back to his feet. Jon punishes Downes's body with a nice straight punch. Downes goes for a double leg but Jon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jon continues to drive forward. Downes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Downes scrambles back to his feet. Downes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jon getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Downes shoots in for a takedown but Jon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lil Jon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cale Downes. Downes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jon sprawls well initially but Downes persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Finyard decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kucharski, up you get! Finyard shoots in looking for a takedown but Kucharski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Finyard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kucharski throwing a counter right hand but Finyard manages to avoid it. Finyard misses with a head kick.
Finyard tries to clinch but Kucharski moves out of range. A little feinted left hand from Kucharski on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Finyard misses with a takedown attempt and Kucharski counters with a lovely straight right hand! Decent striking displayed by Finyard there. Finyard darts in trying to clinch and Kucharski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zackary Finyard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Finyard throws a leg kick but Kucharski sees it coming and moves out of range. It looked like Kucharski wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A low kick from Finyard misses enabling Kucharski to counter with a crisp jab. Finyard looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Finyard sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kucharski is controlling Finyard's posture. Finyard wants to control from the top but Kucharski keeps moving.

Finyard might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kucharski haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Finyard moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Finyard misses with the ground and pound. Kucharski is not content to let Finyard control the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kucharski is looking to counter punch. Finyard tries to clinch up but Kucharski circles away and keeps his distance. Finyard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Kucharski to counter with a crisp jab. Zackary Finyard is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Finyard is defended easily by Kucharski. Kucharski tries to sprawl but Finyard drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Finyard wants to pass to mount but Kucharski is defending the position. Kucharski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Finyard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Finyard's back! Michal Kucharski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Finyard can't escape the position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Yakovchenko swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Yakovchenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davis circles away quickly and effectively. Yakovchenko lands a jab-cross combination. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Davis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Davis tries to clinch up but Yakovchenko circles away and keeps his distance. Davis throws a combination that misses and Yakovchenko counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Davis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yakovchenko was well out of range. Poor timing from Davis. Davis dives in and scores a takedown into Yakovchenko's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Davis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Yakovchenko tries to land a sweep but no joy. Davis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Davis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Davis throwing strikes from guard but Yakovchenko blocks nicely. Davis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Davis drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Davis as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Yakovchenko screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Davis! Nice submission victory there!

Jones wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Lary Divers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Divers's guard. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Divers is retaining full guard.
