2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marius Wieneke! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petersen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wieneke is trying to defend but Petersen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Petersen stops Wieneke from getting back to his feet.
Petersen passes the guard and advances to mount! Petersen goes for an armbar but Wieneke turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wieneke. Wieneke lands a couple of digs. Petersen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wieneke lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wieneke content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wieneke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petersen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Wieneke decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wieneke with a hook. No joy there for Wieneke, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Petersen throws an overhand right that lands on Wieneke's shoulder, as Wieneke tries to avoid the shot. Petersen scores with a shot to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Wieneke misses with a looping right. We've been hearing reports that Petersen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Petersen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wieneke.

Petersen looks to land a left hand but Wieneke moved out of range nicely. Wieneke swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Wieneke misses with a two punch combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Petersen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Darrel Petersen has been cut. Petersen dodges the punch combination from Wieneke.
Wieneke cracks Petersen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Petersen swings for the body but Wieneke moves out of range.
Petersen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wieneke finds it's way round the side to connect with Petersen's head. Wieneke will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Petersen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Petersen throws a right hand that misses
and Wieneke connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Petersen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Petersen cracks a nice hook into Wieneke's ribs. Wieneke looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Petersen connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Petersen misses with a body shot.
Petersen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Petersen lands a nice shot to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Petersen. That snapped Wieneke's head back.

Petersen throws a shot from downtown. Wieneke moves away and avoids it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petersen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wieneke. Petersen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Danga de danga de dang - Wieneke scores with a four punch combination! Petersen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wieneke at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petersen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Petersen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. A swing and a miss from Petersen. Wieneke looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Petersen walks into a left hand. Wieneke throws a right hand that Petersen ducks under and follows up with a left that Petersen also avoids with ease. It looked like Petersen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Wieneke goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Petersen tests Wieneke's chin there with a solid looking shot. Petersen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wieneke. Petersen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wieneke momentarily.
Petersen throws a big shot that misses. Petersen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wieneke counters with a one-two to the body. Petersen digs a good body shot into Wieneke's ribs. Wieneke might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Petersen dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wieneke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Petersen connects with a crisp jab. Petersen swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Wieneke is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petersen dives in and scores a takedown into Wieneke's guard. Wieneke is looking to stand back up but Petersen counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wieneke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petersen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Wieneke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petersen is looking for a kimura but Wieneke is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Petersen to get the leverage. Petersen stops Wieneke from getting back to his feet.
Petersen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wieneke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Petersen is looking for a kimura here.

Wieneke is pressing down on Petersen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Petersen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Petersen trying to control but Wieneke is working from the bottom. Wieneke has his foot on Petersen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petersen works his way back into a safe position though. Marius Wieneke has got the better of the ground game so far. Wieneke had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Petersen defends it easily. Wieneke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Petersen is controlling him.

Petersen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wieneke. Petersen advances nicely into full mount. Wieneke looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice shot by Petersen. Petersen scores with a sloppy right hand. Wieneke should have avoided that one. Wieneke takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Some wild striking there from Wieneke.
Wieneke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Petersen clobbers Wieneke with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Nice defenses there by Wieneke. Petersen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wieneke gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Petersen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Wieneke is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petersen passes to full mount! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wieneke is looking to improve his position but Petersen isn't that keen on the idea. Wieneke is squirming around, avoiding Petersen's attempts to control the action. Petersen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wieneke manages to avoid the submission attempt. Wieneke seems a little lost for a moment, as Petersen dominates the positioning. Petersen is putting a hurting on Wieneke here, landing some big shots from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petersen wants to control but Wieneke is keeping him busy. Petersen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wieneke is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Petersen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wieneke is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wieneke wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Wieneke is not content to let Petersen control the position. Petersen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wieneke is trying to buck Petersen off. Petersen swings around for an armbar but Wieneke sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Petersen's guard. Wieneke decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Petersen throws a hook but Wieneke blocks it. Wieneke digs a good body shot into Petersen's ribs. Wieneke throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Petersen misses with a right hand and Wieneke counters with a two punch combo. Wieneke lands a nice looking kick to the body. Petersen takes a step back to recover.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Marius Wieneke. I think Wieneke has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Cheese throws a punch but it's blocked by Aristotelis. Aristotelis creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Cheese's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Cheese drops to his knees and Aristotelis pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sofoklis Aristotelis! Sofoklis Aristotelis managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, GREEN!160, into his post fight interview. In defeat, Colonel Cheese stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm a project - come back in a few months and i'll knock your ass the fuck out!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wai Ping closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aoki 's guard. Aoki is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wai Ping presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Wai Ping misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Aoki 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Wai Ping breaks from the clinch.
Aoki tries to bum rush Wai Ping with a series of wild strikes but Wai Ping uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wai Ping keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Aoki shoots in for a takedown but Wai Ping shows good takedown defense. Wai Ping tries to clinch up and Aoki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aoki looks to land a combination but Wai Ping avoids it well. Wai Ping looking to score a takedown here. Aoki is defending well but Wai Ping drives through and ends up in Aoki 's guard. Wai Ping wants to stand but Aoki is controlling his posture from full guard. Wai Ping sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aoki 's guard.

It looks like Lu Wai Ping has been cut. Wai Ping shoots in and gets a takedown into Aoki 's guard. Aoki is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Brimstone Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Wai Ping has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aoki is proving hard to escape from. Aoki wants to sweep here but Wai Ping controlling him for the moment. Wai Ping gets to his feet - Aoki follows without any prompting. Wai Ping darts in and clinches Aoki up against the cage. Wai Ping throws a knee to the head but misses.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dall has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Mytilinaios lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Mytilinaios lands a lovely overhand right. Dall takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Mytilinaios misses with a wild body shot. Dall looks like he wants to counter punch here. Dall avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nice uppercut lands for Dall. That snapped Mytilinaios's head back.
