The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Jackson moves into the clinch. Schultz decides to pull guard. Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Schultz looking to control.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Schultz keeps moving. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schultz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schultz has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jackson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Schultz. Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Cajellon tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dumb counters with a nice double leg into side control. We've been hearing reports that Asikainen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Asikainen misses with a takedown attempt - Asfaw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Asikainen sets himself, and Asfaw steps forward looking for the clinch! Asikainen avoids it this time. Asikainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. De Lange shoots and misses and King Jnr counters with a shoot takedown. De Lange fights it but they end up in guard. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! King Jnr has his hands clasped together but De Lange extends and breaks King Jnr's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar!
