The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jesus misses with a takedown and Dickus counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jesus slips under a jab from Dickus. Dickus lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Dickus throws a right and a left that Jesus avoids nicely. Jesus is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Jesus has closed the distance and engaged Dickus in a clinch.
Jesus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dickus shoots in and bounces Jesus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dickus looking to pass the guard. Dickus stops Jesus from standing up. Dickus trying to control the position from guard on top but Jesus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jesus working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dickus has passed into half guard!
Dickus could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickus is nestled in close to Jesus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dickus is working for a kimura but Jesus is defending it quite comfortably.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moretti's waist but Moretti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Roberts off to one side. Moretti looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Moretti lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Moretti has a takedown stuffed. Moretti closes the distance and pushes Roberts back into the cage. Moretti lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Roberts backwards. Moretti gets through Roberts's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Moretti digs a right hand underneath Roberts's ribcage. Roberts let out a lung full of air as it connected. Moretti is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Roberts has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Moretti is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Moretti lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Cuba Moretti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Roberts. Roberts goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moretti prevents it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wayne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martin tries to avoid it but Wayne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martin to the ground. Martin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bradley Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wayne has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Martin is on him like a limpet, forcing Wayne back against the cage. Martin is looking to break free of the clinch but Wayne has double underhooks. Wayne softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Martin jumps guard but Wayne stands there with Martin around his waist. Martin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wayne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Martin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wayne is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wayne postures up and lands a big shot to Martin's brow. Martin being controlled here, momentarily. Wayne makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Martin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wayne puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Wayne passes to side control. Wayne misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Wayne is putting a hurting on Martin here, landing some big shots from side control.

Wayne's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Wayne has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wayne has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Martin has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Wayne is pressed up against the cage. Martin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wayne down to the mat. Wayne avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Wayne arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dereza gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Slater to score an easy takedown into full guard. Slater looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Slater trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Slater trying to control the position from guard on top but Dereza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dereza manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Slater throws a hook to the side of Dereza's head but Dereza sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Slater will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Byyler creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Byyler content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Gacy goes for a double leg but Francisco avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Francisco continues to drive forward. Francisco misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Francisco throws a right hand that Gacy ducks under and follows up with a left that Gacy also avoids with ease. Francisco dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Francisco connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Gacy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Francisco to the ground. Gacy is now in Francisco 's guard. Gacy controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gacy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gacy engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Gacy stops Francisco from standing up. Gacy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Francisco 's head. Gacy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gacy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A jab-cross combination lands for Francisco and sends Gacy crashing to the mat! Francisco follows him down to the mat - Gacy regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Ragnarson has his takedown stuffed letting Perez counter with a right hand. Perez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ragnarson tries to break free but Perez pushes him back against the cage. Perez lands a body punch. A short right from Perez. Ragnarson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ragnarson fails to pull guard.

Perez drops Ragnarson with a big knee straight up the middle! Ragnarson is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Ragnarson is rocked! Ragnarson looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perez finds Ragnarson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Ragnarson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Perez lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Ragnarson will be OK.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mitchell fails in his attempt to clinch. Obrien tries for a takedown but Mitchell circles away easily and Mitchell counters with a left and a right that stings Obrien. Mitchell tries for a takedown but Obrien sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Donk. Obrien catches Mitchell right on the button with a cross. Obrien looks to land a left hand but Mitchell moved out of range nicely. Mitchell is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Obrien swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Obrien takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Obrien misses with a double jab
enabling Mitchell to counter with a crisp jab. Mitchell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Obrien fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mitchell sprawls well initially but Obrien persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mitchell keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mitchell is trying to maintain the position but Obrien is very close to passing his half guard. Obrien is looking to stall here but Mitchell recovers full guard. Obrien keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mitchell's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obrien postures up and lands a big shot to Mitchell's brow. Mitchell trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Obrien working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mitchell wants to stand up but Obrien is controlling him. Mitchell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mitchell tries to get out of the position. Obrien throws an elbow that misses. Mitchell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Obrien's guard. Nice move by Mitchell! Mitchell passes into half guard. Mitchell trying to control the action but Obrien is working from the bottom. Mitchell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Obrien is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obrien is looking for a sweep. Mitchell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mitchell tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Mitchell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Obrien with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mitchell tries to stand but can't do so whilst Obrien controls his leg. Obrien taking some punishment here, with Mitchell in his half guard. Obrien looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Obrien is looking to improve his position.

Obrien really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitchell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mitchell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mitchell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mitchell working the head and body with strikes.
Obrien is rocked! Mitchell sitting in half guard here. He lands a big elbow that has hurt Obrien! Oh, Obrien is in big trouble! Mitchell lands more strikes and the ref dives in to save him! The fight is over!
