The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner misses with a few strikes there.
Badger unleashes a big counter combination but Turner bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Badger scores with a takedown into Turner 's guard.

Turner pushes Badger off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Badger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Badger fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Turner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As Turner backs off Badger throws a huge counter combo but Turner manages to avoid it all.

Turner manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Badger keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Turner has one foot on Badger's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Badger turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Badger manages to end up in side control.

Turner sneaks out the side door and pushes Badger away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Badger dives in for a single leg takedown but Turner sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cruz White.
