Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Samuel Cooke and Ali Jamal. Chooooooooon! I think Cooke might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Harm's Way - Warriors Will Reign. Jamal has chosen Re-Rewind as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Samuel Cooke! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Ali Jamal! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jamal tries to pull guard but Cooke forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Jamal tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cooke drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cooke tightens his grip and picks Jamal up, before dumping him to the ground. Jamal manages to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Cooke (2) vs (0) Jamal Jamal is looking to cinch up a triangle. Cooke throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jamal's body to avoid the submission. Jamal has instead reached around Cooke's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jamal arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
