2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, dee tee ryan! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! ryan shoots in but no luck this time. ryan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nabokov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in ryan's half guard. Nabokov drops an elbow to the side of ryan's head. ryan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. ryan wants to get back to full guard but Nabokov has mounted him! Nabokov controlling his opponent. ryan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Nabokov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. ryan looking for submissions off his back. ryan looks gassed! Nabokov working ryan over with strikes. ryan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nabokov is taking a breather. ryan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Nabokov working ryan over with strikes. Nabokov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nabokov trying to control the pace.

Nabokov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Nabokov passes the guard and advances to mount! Nabokov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. ryan looks a forlorn figure.

Is there anything that ryan can do to turn this around? ryan taking shots to the head. Nabokov landing strikes from the mount. Nabokov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sergei Nabokov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. ryan actively working from the bottom here. Nabokov content to control rather than advance. dee tee ryan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. ryan tries to roll over but Nabokov keeps him under control.

Roberts lands with a shot to the body. Nice sprawl there from Roberts as Crosby shoots in. Roberts lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Crosby at a distance.

Roberts works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Crosby walks into a straight right hand from Roberts. Sidney Crosby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roberts throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Crosby stumbling backwards into the cage! Crosby bounces back off the cage towards Roberts, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Roberts lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Roberts celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jarebadyan pinned against the cage. Jarebadyan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jarebadyan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A big right from Jarebadyan misses. Man fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jarebadyan avoids it really well and circles away. Man shoots in and drives through. Jarebadyan sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Super Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.

It looks like Super Man has been cut. Man is breathing heavily. Man dodges the punch combination from Jarebadyan.
Jarebadyan drops Man with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Man looks back up at him and smiles so Jarebadyan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Man is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jarebadyan throws a nice looking combination but Man bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice takedown defense from Jarebadyan. No joy for Man on that attempt. Jarebadyan throws a series of punches but Man moves out of range. Jarebadyan is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Man flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Man is out cold! Jarebadyan holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
