0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Penny! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, AIe SISI! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penny misses with a low kick as SISI jumps back. No joy there for SISI, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
SISI takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
 It looks like AIe SISI has been cut. SISI tries to bum rush Penny with a series of wild strikes but Penny uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Penny slaps away a takedown attempt from SISI, before circling back to the center of the mat. Penny misses with a head kick.
Penny misses with a combination
and SISI counters with a good low kick that Penny was not able to check. Penny has a takedown stuffed. No joy there for Penny, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Penny fails to land with a series of punches.
Penny attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A big right from SISI misses. Penny takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Penny fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A nice inside leg kick there by Penny. That's going to slow SISI down. Penny throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and SISI counters with a nice kick to the body. Penny is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
SISI darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

SISI maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Penny could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but SISI has cracked it and Penny is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by SISI!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirkebom fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hurt avoids it really well and circles away. Hurt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hurt wants it to stay on the feet. Kirkebom is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice sprawl there from Hurt as Kirkebom shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oddis Kirkebom. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kirkebom keeps the fight on the outside. Kirkebom throws a sloppy head kick and Hurt moves out of range easily. Hurt tries to close the distance and clinch but Kirkebom swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hurt darts in trying to clinch
so Kirkebom counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kirkebom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hurt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kirkebom has managed to get both his arms back between Hurt's legs - danger averted. Hurt wants to stand up but Kirkebom is controlling him. Kirkebom trying to control but Hurt is working from the bottom.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kirkebom is stalling in the full guard.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kirkebom shoots for a takedown but Hurt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hurt closes the distance looking to clinch and Kirkebom counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hurt is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hurt looks to clinch
so Kirkebom counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kirkebom trying to control but Hurt is working from the bottom. Hurt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kirkebom has passed into side control.

Kirkebom stands up and beckons Hurt to his feet. Kirkebom tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hurt swivels and escapes. Kirkebom is breathing heavily. Kirkebom steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hurt. Kirkebom swats away the attempt to clinch by Hurt. Hurt looks to clinch and Kirkebom counters with a big head kick but Hurt shrugs it off. Hurt closes the distance but Kirkebom moves to the side
and Kirkebom counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kirkebom. Kirkebom throwing strikes from guard but Hurt blocks nicely.
Hurt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hurt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kirkebom works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hurt looking for submissions off his back. Hurt trying to control but Kirkebom postures up.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Oddis Kirkebom dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Hurt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kirkebom's guard. Hurt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirkebom swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hurt distracts Kirkebom with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kirkebom looking for a sweep. Not yet Kirkebom, not yet. Oddis Kirkebom overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hurt thows a big elbow that misses. Kirkebom trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Kirkebom working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hurt.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hurt postures up.
Kirkebom looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hurt looks to clinch
so Kirkebom counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hurt wants to sweep here but Kirkebom controlling him for the moment. Kirkebom works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hurt is trying to stand.

Kirkebom is taking a breather. Hurt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hurt looking for submissions off his back. Kirkebom is keen to just control but Hurt is a slippery customer.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hurt. Hurt tries to clinch
and Kirkebom counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hurt connects with a knee to the head.
Hurt lands an elbow inside that Kirkebom shrugs off.
Hurt pulls Kirkebom into guard.

Hurt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kirkebom off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Kirkebom blocks a head kick by Hurt.
Hurt looks to clinch
and Kirkebom counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hurt! Hurt tries to reverse the position but Kirkebom maintains control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kirkebom trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kirkebom won't let Hurt get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Oddis Kirkebom will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Hurt with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Kirkebom tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hurt smiles and moves away.

Hurt decides to pull guard. Hurt wants to sweep but no luck. Kirkebom looking to sit in guard and control but Hurt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hurt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hurt wants to control from the top but Kirkebom keeps moving.
Hurt stands and steps away. Kirkebom gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hurt darts in and clinches Kirkebom up against the cage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hurt scores with a shot to the side of Kirkebom's head. Hurt with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Kirkebom tries for a takedown but Hurt manages to get underhooks.
Kirkebom's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Hurt with a knee to the head.
Hurt lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kirkebom backwards. Hurt connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kirkebom's face.

Kirkebom is pressed up against the cage. Hurt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kirkebom down to the mat. Kirkebom avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hurt tries to clinch up.
Kirkebom shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kirkebom was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kirkebom landing punches.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurt taking shots to the head. Hurt is looking to get to half guard. Kirkebom with good strikes from the mount here! Hurt blocking the ground and pound. Kirkebom avoids the attempt from Hurt to control. Kirkebom manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hurt to take his back!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kirkebom lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Hurt hold on?!
Kirkebom is controlling the position but Hurt somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Kirkebom missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kirkebom is just content to waste time from the top position. Hurt takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. William Hurt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Oddis Kirkebom is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kirkebom wants to pass the guard but Hurt is keeping the position.
And that's the end of the fight! William Hurt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kirkebom has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Powell feints and as Handozhko raises his hands in defense, Powell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Powell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Handozhko keeping full guard, as Powell tries to pass. Handozhko looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Powell puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Powell stalling.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Handozhko wants to control but Powell passes into side.
Powell stands up and beckons Handozhko to his feet. Handozhko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Handozhko throws a quick inside leg kick. Handozhko throws a jab but it's blocked by Powell. Powell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Handozhko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Powell somewhat. Powell closes the distance and clinches up with Handozhko, looking for a takedown. Powell pushes Handozhko against the cage but Handozhko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Powell looks gassed!

Powell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Handozhko wants to sweep here but Powell controlling him for the moment. Handozhko wants to stand and escape but Powell is having none of it.

Powell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Powell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Handozhko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Powell scoring with punches from side control. Powell staying calm.
Powell has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Handozhko gets caught flat footed, as Powell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Powell drops back looking for a leg! Handozhko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Handozhko manages to kick Powell off! Powell jumps back into Handozhko's guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Powell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Powell stopping the sweep attempt from Handozhko. Powell pushes down on Handozhko's leg and manages to get into half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Powell escapes and gets back to his feet.
Powell shoots in and bounces Handozhko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Handozhko working a defensive guard but Powell manages to pass into side control anyway.
The referee asks Powell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Powell prefers to stall for the moment though. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikey Powell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Powell working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Handozhko is trying to reverse the position but instead Powell has taken his back - oops! Powell has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Handozhko's body.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Powell has the hooks in. Handozhko is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Powell lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Powell.
Powell controls the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Powell is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Handozhko up.
