The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Fairbanks.

It looks like Practice Built has been cut.
Fairbanks throws a hook but Built avoids it easily.
Fairbanks connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Built's hands.
Fairbanks takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nice uppercut lands for Fairbanks. That snapped Built's head back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Built both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Rei Higuchi has been cut.
Built uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Higuchi.
Built is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Higuchi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Built's guard.
Higuchi looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Higuchi drops back looking for a leg! Built is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Built manages to kick Higuchi off! Higuchi jumps back into Built's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Higuchi has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Built really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Higuchi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Higuchi stands up over Built, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Built preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Higuchi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Higuchi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Built throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Higuchi drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Higuchi seems to have locked his on tight now - Built screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Higuchi, as he picks up the win!
