Konji Yamaski struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Konji Yamaski! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Botracevitic lands a head kick. Yamaski smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Yamaski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Yamaski sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Botracevitic is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Yamaski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Yamaski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Botracevitic is looking to escape. Yamaski jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Botracevitic manages to avoid the submission attempt. Yamaski is looking to take a break and control but Botracevitic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yamaski throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Botracevitic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yamaski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Botracevitic bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Botracevitic thows a body kick. Yamaski tries to catch it but that hurt him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Both fighters circling a little - Botracevitic finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Botracevitic connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Botracevitic lands a head kick!
Botracevitic keeps Yamaski at a distance using the push kick. Marjan Botracevitic is winning the standup battle so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Left hook, right uppercut from Botracevitic. Konji Yamaski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Botracevitic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Botracevitic is looking to land body kicks. Yamaski shoots for a double leg takedown but Botracevitic sprawls well. He's pushed Yamaski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Botracevitic throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yamaski stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Botracevitic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Botracevitic. Yamaski shrugs it off though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Botracevitic throws a nice head kick!

Marjan Botracevitic dominated that second round. That's time! Botracevitic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Yamaski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Yamaski trying to control but Botracevitic is working from the bottom. Yamaski won't allow Botracevitic to sweep him here. Botracevitic is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Yamaski trying to control the position from guard on top but Botracevitic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Botracevitic wants to stand and escape but Yamaski is having none of it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamaski trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Yamaski looking to sit in guard and control but Botracevitic gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Botracevitic wants to stand but Yamaski has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A head kick misses from Botracevitic.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yamaski is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Botracevitic fakes the leg kick and cracks Yamaski in the body. Botracevitic swats away the attempt to clinch by Yamaski. Yamaski takes a kick to the side of the head. Yamaski tries to clinch there but Botracevitic circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Yamaski looks up at the clock and then as Botracevitic takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Yamaski smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! uy gets the takedown into side control. Roja is looking for a sweep. uy working the head with strikes. Roja is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Roja parries the strikes from uy easily there. uy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Roja to escape.
uy taking a breather here. uy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Roja wants to control but uy postures up. uy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roja seems a little lost for a moment, as uy dominates the positioning. Roja is looking to reverse the position. uy trying to control the position but Roja is working away. Sloppy strikes there by uy. Roja is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

A looping hook to the body misses from Roja. uy does a little dance to reset his feet. Roja looks to land a right hand but uy moved out of range. Roja loads up on a big right hand but uy slips the punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roja lands a jab to the nose. Roja throws a body punch but uy moves out of range. Nice defenses there by uy. uy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Roja connects with a good right hand that stumbles uy. uy circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Roja swings for the body but uy moves out of range.
Roja throws a shot from downtown. uy moves away and avoids it. Roja gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. uy won't allow Roja to sweep him here. uy throws a strike but Roja rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Roja avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michinoku tries to score a power double leg takedown but Paul sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Michinoku somewhat. Paul throws a combination. Michinoku tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Makosa Michinoku has been cut. Paul with a hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Paul misses. Paul will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Michinoku might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Paul kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
