The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
We've been told by Honda's head coaches at Club Savage MMA Tokyo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Honda fails with the takedown
and Gun counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fighters circle momentarily. Gun darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Honda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gun swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Honda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gun tries to avoid it but Honda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gun to the ground. Gun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Honda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gun looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

No luck for Honda with that takedown attempt.

and Gun counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Honda drops his hands for a split second and Gun immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Honda face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Gun follows up with a right hand that knocks Honda into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

A relieved looking Tommy Gun thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Kerinen has chosen 2NE1 - 내가 제일 잘 나가(I AM THE as his entrance music. Dantes DeKorveia had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Fredrik Kerinen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Wesley Correira retains his super heavyweight title!
Wesley Correira decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
James Ahearn spoke after the fight, saying 'Fate is for those too weak to determine their own destiny. I will not be a victim of fate. I will be back.'.

Memphis throws out a loose jab but Godrigueze uses good head movement to avoid it.

Godrigueze flashes Memphis a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Memphis's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Memphis crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Godrigueze punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
