0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Upin Ipin! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palonesess keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ipin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Palonesess goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Palonesess shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ipin is trying to defend but Palonesess finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Nice strikes from Palonesess there.
Ipin is rocked! Palonesess looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ipin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ipin is still in real trouble! Can Palonesess finish him? Palonesess is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ipin is hurt! He's hurt bad - Palonesess fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ipin from any more punishment! Congratulations to Palonesess! Great finish!

A very excited looking Altintop Palonesess made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nigel Truck! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Some wild striking there from Jackson.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Truck shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Truck has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Truck throws a half hearted mid kick. Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson tries to bum rush Truck with a series of wild strikes but Truck uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jackson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jackson tries to score with a low kick but Truck moves his leg out of the way. Truck is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Jackson misses with a combination
and Truck counters by clinching up. Jackson takes an elbow to the temple. Jackson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Truck is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jackson to the mat. Jackson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jackson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Truck off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. A nice inside leg kick there by Truck. That's going to slow Jackson down. Truck throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range. Truck darts in looking for a takedown but Jackson gets double underhooks and turns Truck into the cage. Jackson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Truck. Truck circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Truck circles away quickly and effectively. Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Truck takes the fight into the clinch. Jackson prevents a body shot from Truck. Truck has Jackson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jackson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Steve Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Truck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Jackson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Truck missing with knees to the body.

Jackson stuns Truck with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jackson stuffs the takedown attempt from Truck. Truck gets slowly back to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Truck throws out a leg kick but Jackson moves out of range and Truck only half commits.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Truck throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Truck fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jackson, pushing him back against the cage. Truck lands a good knee to the midsection. Jackson won't want to take too many of those. Truck misses with a hook to the ribs.
Truck has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Truck lands a takedown into guard.
Truck working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jackson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Truck won't allow Jackson to get back to his feet. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Truck from controlling successfully. Jackson trying to control the position.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Truck trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Truck showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Jackson will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Truck scores with a takedown into Jackson's guard. Truck trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Truck is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control. Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Truck lands a couple of elbows. Truck stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jackson wriggles free and stands up. Steve Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Truck throws a leg kick but Jackson moved away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Truck. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet. Truck missing with a left hand there. Jackson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Truck moves into the clinch successfully.

Truck drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jackson pushes Truck off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Jackson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Truck gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Truck is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Truck bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Truck throws a wild body kick that Jackson sees coming a mile off.

Truck shoots in looking for a takedown but Jackson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Truck's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jackson throws a leg kick that is checked and Truck counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jackson! Truck working the body and head with strikes. Truck remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Truck working the ground and pound from side control. Truck looks up at the clock and then as Jackson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Truck smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Champion instigates a clinch. Champion lands a nice uppercut. Truck works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Champion is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Champion misses with a shot to the kidneys.
I was talking to Champion's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Nice elbow from Champion.

That was a close round but I would say that Gattsu Emelianenko will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Roman Kruger's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jordan with a poor takedown and Mac counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jordan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mac counters with a stiff right hand. Nice sprawl there from Mac as Jordan shoots in. Big Mac has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Jordan. Jordan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mac makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Mac feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jordan's calf. A decent looking cross lands there for Mac. Jordan misses with a takedown attempt and Mac counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jordan drops his hands momentarily and Mac takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Jordan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mac swivels and escapes. An attempted straight right counter from Mac misses the target. Mac scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jordan doesn't seem bothered though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jordan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Mac swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jordan.
Jordan is rocked! Mac ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Jordan's jaw. Jordan's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Mac does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Big Mac! After winning the bout, Big Mac thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whittaker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Marques blocks the body kick.
Marques sizes up Whittaker with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Whittaker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Marques back to the cage. Whittaker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Whittaker is rocked! Marques darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Whittaker 's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Marques before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
