Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alain Fournier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Frank Crane was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alain Fournier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Crane! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fournier throws a leg kick but Crane sees it coming and moves out of range. Fournier drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crane manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fournier's best efforts. Fournier is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Fournier controlling the pace. Crane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fournier's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fournier's back! Fournier showing good submission defense here.
Crane is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Fournier has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Crane has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Fournier taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Crane doesn't care though - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson connects with the punch. Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Sandman, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johnson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Sandman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Sandman is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Sandman tries to clinch enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab. Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sandman tries to clinch but Johnson moves away and Johnson counters with a left to the body. Johnson with a jab. Johnson throws a series of punches but Sandman avoids them all with ease. Sandman throws out a counter right but Johnson avoids it with no problem. Johnson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Sandman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sandman showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sandman stalling. Sandman working Johnson over with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Sandman missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sandman wants to pass to mount but Johnson is defending the position. Sandman controlling the action here. Johnson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sandman. Johnson has hold of Sandman's hands but Sandman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sandman controlling the pace. Sandman winds up and cracks Johnson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Sandman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sandman performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Sandman wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Johnson is breathing heavily. Sandman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sandman is figuring out what he wants to do next. Sandman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Sandman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandman is working for a submission of some sort.
Sandman is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Sandman is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Johnson! Sandman landing strikes from the mount. Sandman controlling from mount. Sandman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. It looks like Sandman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. More stalling from Sandman. Sandman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Johnson's face.
Sandman controlling the pace for now. Sandman swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
