Gustav has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Martinez shoots in looking for a takedown but Gustav manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martinez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It looked like Gustav wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Carl Gustav has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcos Martinez.
Martinez moves forwards but Gustav connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Gustav ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Martinez's jaw. Martinez's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Gustav does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Peter Heart decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
