The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Grigsby in a clinch.
Grigsby manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Jackson wants to stall.
Jackson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Grigsby is defending well for now. Grigsby pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Grigsby takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

McGregor thuds his right hand into Parrell's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. McGregor feints and then cracks Parrell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Parrell down. McGregor throws a body shot but no joy. McGregor cracks a nice hook into Parrell's ribs. Parrell is breathing heavily.

McGregor darts in trying to clinch and McGregor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McGregor works Parrell's body with a nice hook. Parrell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Parrell has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. McGregor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Parrells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Parrell takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. McGregor throws out a loose jab but Parrell uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd cheers as Parrell lands an impressive looking overhand right. McGregor doesn't seem phased though. Parrell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McGregor to score with a decent uppercut. McGregor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ines displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Vega is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ines. Ines seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Vega throws a head kick that misses. Ines loads up on a big right hand but Vega slips the punch. A big right from Ines misses. Vega throws a sloppy head kick and Ines moves out of range easily. Vega slips a jab from Ines. Vega avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Vega raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Paul Ines seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vega clinches. Ines just leaning against Vega, taking a breather. Chonus kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Reverend Paynus. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Shoemaker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Cusumano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As Cusumano looks to move away, Shoemaker throws a big counter combo but Cusumano just gets out of the way. The crowd cheers as Cusumano lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shoemaker doesn't seem phased though. A left and a right from Cusumano both land. Nice combination. Shoemaker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cusumano lunges at Shoemaker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shoemaker's hand. Shoemaker tries to clinch there but Cusumano circles away.
Shoemaker is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Cusumano misses with a few strikes there.
