1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pueblo Cortez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Riggs! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riggs misses with a hook. Cortez ducked under it nicely. Cortez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Riggs as he avoids it easily.
Riggs clinches with his opponent.
Riggs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cortez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cortez misses with a double jab.
Riggs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Riggs moves into range and clinches up with Cortez. Riggs lands an elbow inside.
Riggs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cortez rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Riggs counters with a leg kick. Cortez throws a right and a left that Riggs avoids nicely. Cortez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Riggs but Riggs pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pueblo Cortez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riggs gets a clinch. Cortez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Riggs with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Riggs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cortez moves into range and connects with a jab. Nice sprawl there from Riggs as Cortez shoots in. A big left from Riggs misses. Riggs throws a quick inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A decent looking body kick lands there for Riggs. Cortez is breathing heavily. Cortez misses with a series of wild punches.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Riggs throws a half hearted mid kick. Riggs moves into range and connects with a jab. Cortez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cortez misses with a straight right. Cortez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
 Pueblo Cortez's cut is getting worse.
Riggs closes the distance and clinches. Riggs landing knees to the head.
Riggs manages to break the clinch.
Riggs rushes Cortez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cortez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Riggs gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Cortez tries to land a leg kick but Riggs saw it coming and moves away.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cortez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Riggs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. No joy there for Riggs, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Riggs scores with a one two! Cortez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Riggs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cortez, pushing him back against the cage. Cortez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Riggs gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Riggs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cortez lands a slapping body shot.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Riggs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fight stays on the outside here - Cortez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cortez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Riggs paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cortez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Riggs has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Cortez scores with a hook. Cortez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Cortez misses with a takedown attempt - Riggs sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cortez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cortez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cortez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cortez has his takedown stuffed
and Riggs counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Riggs seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Cortez is looking to escape. Riggs is thwarting Cortez's attempts to control the position.
Riggs decides to stand and escape the position. Cortez shoots in and drives through. Riggs sprawls well.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Cortez with that takedown attempt. Cortez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Riggs swivels and escapes. Riggs throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Cortez has his takedown stuffed
and Riggs counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Riggs.
Riggs manages to break the clinch.
Cortez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cortez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Riggs counters with a big head kick but Cortez shrugs it off. Riggs drops his hands momentarily and Cortez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Riggs darts in and clinches Cortez up against the cage. Cortez blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Cortez blocks the elbow strike.
Cortez prevents a body shot from Riggs. Cortez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Riggs prevents it.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Riggs. Riggs is pressed up against the cage. Cortez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Riggs down to the mat. Riggs avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Riggs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cortez moves away. Cortez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Riggs throws a push kick but Cortez slaps the foot to one side. Cortez tries for a takedown but Riggs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cortez with a lazy takedown attempt
and Riggs counters by moving into the clinch. Cortez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Cortez has had enough of the clinch but Riggs keeps him there for the moment.
Riggs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A left lands for Riggs. Cortez tries to close the distance and clinch but Riggs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Good leg kick by Riggs there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cortez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Riggs throws out the jab.
Cortez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Riggs! This has been an exciting period of action! Riggs is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Cortez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Riggs is looking to escape. Cortez won't let Riggs get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cortez working Riggs over with strikes here. Riggs wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cortez.
Cortez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Riggs holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cortez tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Riggs dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pueblo Cortez's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Riggs feints and then cracks Cortez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cortez down. An inside leg kick from Cortez misses. Pueblo Cortez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cortez tries to clinch but Riggs moves out of range. Riggs stuffs the takedown attempt from Cortez. Cortez gets slowly back to his feet. Riggs tries a head kick but it misses.
Riggs misses with a kick to the body.
Horrible takedown by Cortez or perhaps it was just good defense by Riggs which made him look bad. Riggs on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Riggs pushes Cortez up against the cage in a clinch. Riggs lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Cortez lands with a short shot to the head. Riggs is leaning against Cortez and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Riggs manages to break the clinch.
Cortez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Riggs tries to avoid it but Cortez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Riggs to the ground. Riggs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pueblo Cortez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cortez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Riggs wants to try and get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cortez looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Cortez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Riggs holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cortez tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Riggs bucks up and throws Cortez to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Cortez misses with a takedown attempt letting Riggs counter with a right hand.
Riggs rushes Cortez and presses him up against the cage. Cortez has had enough of the clinch but Riggs keeps him there for the moment. Cortez goes for a takedown attempt but Riggs pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Riggs takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pueblo Cortez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Riggs lands a two punch combo.
Cortez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight stays on the outside here - Riggs looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cortez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Riggs has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Riggs and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Cortez misses with a takedown attempt
and Riggs counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Riggs wants to stand up but Cortez has a hold of him and won't allow it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Cortez is trying to control but Riggs passes into side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Riggs decides to stand back up. Joe Riggs seems to be getting the better of the standup. Riggs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cortez.
Riggs blocks a low kick nicely. Cortez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Riggs counters with a leg kick. A head kick misses from Riggs. Joe Riggs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cortez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Riggs blocks the body kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Cortez.
Cortez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Riggs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cortez trying to control the position but Riggs is working away.
Cortez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cortez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Riggs is not content to let Cortez control the position. Cortez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Riggs is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cortez is controlling him well.
Cortez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Riggs has escaped the position, nice work there. Cortez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Cortez wants to control but Riggs is keeping him busy.
Cortez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Riggs, who protects the arm well. Riggs gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Riggs tries to buck Cortez off but he can't manage it. Riggs avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cortez.
Riggs wants to get back to his feet.
Riggs is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riggs is squirming around, avoiding Cortez's attempts to control the action. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cortez unloads with some shots from mount but Riggs bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Joe Riggs will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Pueblo Cortez's cut. That's time! Cortez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Riggs closes the distance and clinches. Cortez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Riggs is leaning against Cortez and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Riggs lands with a light punch inside. Still in the clinch, Riggs scores with a nice short uppercut. Riggs with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

He's got hold of a leg but Riggs swivels and escapes. Cortez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cortez tries a head kick but it misses.
Danga de danga de dang - Cortez scores with a four punch combination! Cortez shoots in and drives through. Riggs sprawls well. Riggs checks a leg kick nicely. Cortez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Riggs holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cortez wants to get back to striking at distance but Riggs won't allow it.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cortez is looking to take a break and control but Riggs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cortez prevents Riggs from escaping the position. Riggs dodges the ground and pound from Cortez. Riggs is looking to get back to his feet here but Cortez is keeping cool and he's managed to take Riggs's back.
Riggs manages to escape to his feet. Cortez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cortez fails with a takedown attempt. Riggs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cortez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Riggs's waist but Riggs gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cortez off to one side. Riggs throws a right and a left that Cortez avoids nicely. Riggs pushes Cortez away with a front kick.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Riggs bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cortez's head backwards. Riggs avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Cortez is looking to wear down Riggs with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Cortez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Riggs takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Cortez pushes Riggs up against the cage in a clinch. Cortez is working for takedown but Riggs is calmly controlling the position for now. Cortez fails to pull guard.

Riggs throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cortez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. No luck for Cortez with that takedown attempt. Cortez walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Riggs checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Pueblo Cortez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! No joy there for Cortez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cortez throws a chopping leg kick but Riggs manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Cortez misses with a takedown attempt and Riggs counters with a leg kick.
Riggs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Riggs missing with knees to the body.
Riggs throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cortez blocks it with crossed arms.
Cortez jumps into guard, dragging Riggs to the mat.
Riggs stands up and waves to Cortez to follow him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riggs throws a head kick that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Riggs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Riggs winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mincemeat tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Azazel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mincemeat wants to clinch. Mincemeat throws a sloppy head kick and Azazel moves out of range easily. Mincemeat avoids a punch combination nicely.

Azazel is looking to sinch up a triangle. Mincemeat throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Azazel's body to avoid the submission. Azazel has instead reached around Mincemeat's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Azazel arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frankenstein dodges the punch combination from Alcoubra.
Alcoubra throws a nice looking combination but Frankenstein bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Frankenstein shoots in looking for a takedown. Alcoubra tries to sprawl out of it but Frankenstein keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alcoubra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Frankenstein closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Alcoubra is trying to stand up here but Frankenstein is controlling him well. Frankenstein tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alcoubra knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Alcoubra is trying to get back to full guard. Frankenstein is looking to take a break and control but Alcoubra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alcoubra desperately trying to maintain half guard.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Cabal.
No luck for Cabal with that takedown attempt.
Coffinstuffer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cabal's guard. Coffinstuffer trying to control but Cabal is working from the bottom.
Coffinstuffer is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cabal is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cabal has escaped and now he's on top! Coffinstuffer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cabal! Cabal is trying desperately to improve position. Cabal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coffinstuffer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Coffinstuffer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabal is trying to stand.
Coffinstuffer is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Coffinstuffer!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aliyev ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kotoski throws a sloppy head kick and Aliyev moves out of range easily. Aliyev takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Aliyev misses with a wild body shot. Aliyev wants to clinch. Kotoski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kotoski checks the leg kick nicely there.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kotoski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
