0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Zwirn! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zwirn connects with a body shot. Lau misses the shot to the body. Zwirn scores with a jab to the head.
Lau throws a shot from downtown. Zwirn moves away and avoids it. Lau looks to land a combination but Zwirn avoids it well. Good exchange - Zwirn coming out on top. Zwirn with a nice cross. Lau throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zwirn sees it coming and avoids it easily. Zwirn avoids the head kick by Lau.
Zwirn wants to counter with a clinch but Lau pushes him away. Lau misses with an uppercut. Zwirn looks like he wants to counter punch here. Zwirn connects with a crisp jab. Zwirn doesn't manage to clinch there - Lau circles away.
Zwirn dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Zwirn scores with a decent looking hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zwirn wants to clinch up but Lau keeps it at a distance. Zwirn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lau throws a body shot but no joy. Lau drops his hands momentarily and Zwirn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lau misses with a wild body shot. Zwirn darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jab from Zwirn. Lau takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Zwirn has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Lau tries to score with a low kick but Zwirn moves his leg out of the way. Lau misses with a straight left. Lau misses with the combination.
Zwirn connects with a body shot that sends Lau's belly button to the back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zwirn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lau swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lau rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zwirn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Zwirn lands a jab to the nose. The fight moves into the clinch position. Lau avoids the elbow strike from Zwirn, against the cage.
Zwirn lands a body punch in the clinch. Zwirn gets through Lau's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Zwirn working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Lau is looking to break free of the clinch but Zwirn has double underhooks. Zwirn creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lau's defenses. Lau takes a shot to the head. Zwirn lands on the inside with an uppercut. Zwirn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lau avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zwirn is working Lau over against the cage. Lau's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Zwirn tries to work over Lau's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Lau tries to break the clinch but Zwirn is controlling the position. Nice body punch from Zwirn. Lau swings wildly with an uppercut but Zwirn uses good head movement to avoid it. Zwirn lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Zwirn looking to slow down the pace here. Zwirn comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Lau has had enough of the clinch but Zwirn keeps him there for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zwirn misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A head punch on the inside from Lau fails to land. Zwirn lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Zwirn lands with a left to the head. Zwirn lands an elbow just above Lau 's eye. Lau wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zwirn has him pressed against the cage. Lau working hard to break the clinch. Zwirn keeps control of Lau as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Zwirn swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Lau moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Zwirn jabs at Lau's body. Lau keeps the fight on the outside. Lau fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zwirn manages to avoid it. Zwirn swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A bone on bone clash there as Zwirn blocks the leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lau takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Zwirn cracks Lau with an open hand slap. This has been an exciting period of action! Zwirn scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lau doesn't seem bothered though. Lau throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Zwirn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Laus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Zwirn misses with a wild combination.
Zwirn is breathing heavily. Zwirn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lau looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Zwirn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lau. Lau gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zwirn. Lau has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Lau throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Zwirn blocks a low kick nicely. Zwirn blocks a jab. Zwirn doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. The fighters circling - Lau throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Zwirn throws out a counter right but Lau avoids it with no problem. Zwirn tries to clinch but Lau is having none of it. Zwirn works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Lau looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Lau throws a leg kick but Zwirn checks it. Zwirn swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Lau is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Zwirn's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zwirn slips under a jab. A big left from Lau misses. Lau swats away the attempt to clinch by Zwirn. Nice cross by Zwirn. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lau throws a leg kick but Zwirn moved away. Lau misses with an attempted mid kick.
It seemed like Zwirn was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. The fighters circle momentarily. Zwirn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A leg kick checked by Zwirn. Lau ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zwirn moves away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Zwirn! But no joy. Zwirn fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Zwirn scores with a three punch combo!
Lau throws a body punch but Zwirn moves out of range. Zwirn connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lau's hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zwirn ducks under a wild hook from Lau. Lau slips under a jab from Zwirn. Lau takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Zwirn only half commits to the counter leg kick. Lau defending well as Zwirn loads up on a big left hand. Lau throws a right hand that Zwirn ducks under and follows up with a left that Zwirn also avoids with ease. Zwirn throws a hook but Lau blocks it. Zwirn moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Zwirn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zwirn might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Lau throws the kick towards the body but Zwirn avoids it. Lau misses with a body kick. A little jabbing left from Zwirn on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Lau throws out a leg kick but Zwirn moves out of range and Lau only half commits. Zwirn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lau.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Some bone on bone action there as Zwirn checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Lau tries to bum rush Zwirn with a series of wild strikes but Zwirn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The fight stays on the outside here - Zwirn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Zwirn loads up on a big right hand but Lau slips the punch. Nice defenses there by Lau. Lau misses with a hook. Zwirn ducked under it nicely. Lau throws a leg kick but Zwirn sees it coming and moves out of range. Lau uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zwirn. Zwirn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lau paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lau throws a big counter combination but Zwirn scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Zwirn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lau tried to score with a low kick but Zwirn checks it. Lau throws a low kick but Zwirn moves out of range easily. Lau throws a solid leg kick but Zwirn takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lau. Lau tries a low kick but Zwirn avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Zwirn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Zwirn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Zwirn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seal shoots and misses and Yurich counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Seal thinking. Seal staying out of range there. Yurich thows a left - swing and a miss! Seal misses with a takedown and Yurich connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Seal displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yurich throws out the jab. Yurich listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Yurich works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Yurich lands with a nice body punch. Seal goes for a double leg but Yurich avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yurich continues to drive forward. Henry Yurich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baby Seal. Yurich connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Seal momentarily.
Seal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yurich circles away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yurich misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Yurich counters with a straight right hand. Baby Seal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A shot to the body from Seal misses and Yurich makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Yurich comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Yurich tests Seal's chin there with a solid looking shot. Yurich lands with a good body shot. Seal looks winded! The fighters circle momentarily. Yurich darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seal shoots in for a takedown but Yurich shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Yurich scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jab, jab by Yurich - just one landing.
Seal is rocked! Seal goes for a double leg but Yurich avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yurich continues to drive forward. Seal is still on wobbly legs! Can Yurich finish him? Seal gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Yurich gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodd throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lapris feints and as Rodd raises his hands in defense, Lapris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lapris controls from within his opponent's guard. Rodd wants to get back to his feet but Lapris passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lapris content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lapris seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rodd for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lapris connects with a nice short shot to Rodd's temple. Rodd is trying to control but Lapris passes into side control!
Rodd gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Rodd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lapris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lapris throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rodd has his hands clasped together but Lapris breaks the hold and Rodd is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Lapris!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carlos Lapris! In his post fight interview, Carlos Lapris started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baird swings for the body but Magiritsa moves out of range.
Magiritsa with the counter takedown but Baird avoids it easily. Magiritsa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Baird advances position into side control! Magiritsa throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Magiritsa gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Baird is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Magiritsa is forced to tap! Great finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bawns throws a head kick but Garner moves out of range.
Bawns throws the left hand but Garner avoids the punch easily. Ben Bawns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bawns throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

We've been hearing reports that Garner has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Garner avoids the head kick by Bawns.
Bawns throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Garner's head. Garner slips a jab from Bawns. Garner shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garner scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Garner is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bawns for as long as he can get away with. Garner continues to stall. Garner winds up and cracks Bawns with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bawns looks winded!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller fails with a takedown attempt. Miller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kingston swivels and escapes. Kingston throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miller sees it coming and avoids it easily. Miller leaves Kingston with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Miller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kingston as he jumps to the side. Thomas Kingston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Miller. Miller cracks Kingston with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A low kick from Miller misses and Kingston counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Miller! Kingston in side control, throwing shots but Miller defends. Miller dodges the ground and pound from Kingston. Miller is trying to control Kingston's posture but Kingston avoids it. Kingston throws an elbow but Miller slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller can't do much from the bottom here. Miller is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Kingston working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kingston is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kingston working the head and body with strikes. Kingston is trying to get an arm triangle but Miller is defending well. Kingston tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Miller's head. Kingston frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kingston punishing his opponent with strikes. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingston moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Ibisevicz throws a shot to the body.
Kingston walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Gregory Kingston has been cut. Ibisevicz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kingston on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ibisevicz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kingston misses with a leg kick and Ibisevicz counters with a left to the body. Kingston is breathing heavily. Kingston thows a leg kick but Ibisevicz checks it and Ibisevicz counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kingston needs to keep his hands up - Ibisevicz had a free shot at his head there. Ibisevicz drops Kingston with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kingston looks back up at him and smiles so Ibisevicz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Kingston is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ibisevicz dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kingston leaves his chin hanging out and Ibisevicz seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kingston crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lichen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Miller, pushing him back against the cage. Lichen lands with a short shot to the head. Lichen lands with a short head shot on the inside. Miller is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lichen lands a nice uppercut. A right hook to the body lands for Lichen.
Miller looks winded! Lichen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lichen lands a nice looking body shot.
Miller looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Miller walks into a straight right hand from Lichen. Good shot there by Lichen. A jab from Lichen does it's job there.
Miller is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lichen cracks Miller with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Miller tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Lichen pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Miller is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Lichen! Our winner, David Lichen, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab from Strangler. A combination from Tinto does no damage. Strangler throws a big counter combination but Tinto scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Tinto throws a series of punches but Strangler moves out of range. Strangler scores with a nice head shot. Strangler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tinto circles away quickly and effectively. Strangler scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Strangler lands with a right hand. Strangler misses the shot to the body. Tinto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tinto throws a leg kick but Strangler sees it coming and checks it nicely. A decent looking body kick lands there for Strangler. Strangler clinches up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Strangler works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Tinto looking to slow down the pace here. Strangler is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's one minute gone in the round. Strangler is working Tinto over against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tinto. Strangler lands with a right to the head. Tinto has a couple of punches blocked by Strangler.
Strangler tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Tinto tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Strangler's elbow. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Strangler misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tinto.
Tinto's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A head punch blocked on the inside by Strangler. Strangler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That kick from Strangler tenderised Tinto's leg. Tinto is trying to keep his angry face on. Strangler cracks the inside of Tinto's front leg. A bone on bone clash there as Strangler blocks the leg kick.
Tinto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Strangler.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strangler throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tinto takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Strangler fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tinto. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Strangler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tinto misses with a combination
and Strangler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Tinto steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Strangler. That one must have hurt. Tinto swinging wildly here.
Tinto tries to land a leg kick but Strangler saw it coming and moves away.
Tinto walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Strangler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Strangler has Tinto up against the cage in a clinch.
Strangler working some nice short punches in the clinch. Strangler breaks from the clinch.
Tinto takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Strangler connects with a high kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tinto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Strangler is looking to counter with a body kick. Tinto takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Tinto misses with a series of wild punches.
A combination from Tinto does no damage. A punch combination from Tinto misses. Strangler works Tinto's body with a nice hook. Tinto takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Strangler has taken the fight to the clinch.
