Hao Ah Yu struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hao Ah Yu was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Simeonov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kolov.
Kolov fails to land the takedown.
Kolov gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Dan Kolov has been cut.
Kolov on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

enabling Simeonov to counter with a crisp jab.
Stefan Simeonov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Kolov.
Kolov shoots in looking for a takedown but Simeonov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kolov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Simeonov enables Kolov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Simeonov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kolov wants to free his trapped foot but Simeonov is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Kolov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Simeonov sees it coming and defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kolov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Simeonov is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Kolov has latched onto it... Big trouble! Kolov pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Simeonov is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Kolov!
