The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nikolai with a poor takedown and Villar counters with a three punch combo that has Nikolai backing up. Nikolai nods at Villar to acknowledge the strikes. Nikolai dives in and grabs Villar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Villar pushes down on Nikolai's head and hops out. Nikolai doesn't succeed with the takedown and Villar counters with a one-two to the body. Affonso Villar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vic Nikolai. Nikolai shoots in but no luck this time. Nikolai shoots in looking for a takedown but Villar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nikolai's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nikolai closes this distance looking for a takedown but Villar circles away. Horrible takedown attempt by Nikolai or perhaps it was just good defense by Villar, which made it look bad. Villar throws a big counter combination but Nikolai scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Villar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nikolai. As Nikolai looks to move away, Villar throws a big counter combo but Nikolai just gets out of the way. Nikolai is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Villar's half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Villar is trying to stand up here but Nikolai is controlling him well.

Nikolai seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Villar has recovered full guard. Nikolai passes Villar's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nikolai connects with a nice short shot to Villar's temple. Villar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Villar on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Nikolai looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Villar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nikolai not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nikolai is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Villar is just riding it out for now. Nikolai eventually gives up the hold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wycc misses the shot to the body. Wycc throws a sloppy head kick and Lorent holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wycc tries to pull guard but Lorent won't allow it.

Lorent lands a hook that snaps the head of Wycc backwards. A short right from Lorent. Lorent throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wyccs head. A short left from Lorent. Wycc is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A shot in the inside from Lorent. Lorent prevents Wycc from breaking the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Lorent.
Wycc is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Oh Wycc is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lorent misses with a punch on the inside.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong has taken the fight to the clinch.
Squibbles is pushing Dong up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Dong wants a takedown.
Dong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Squibbles throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Squibbles defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dong. Squibbles misses with an uppercut

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Squibbles manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yi Dong. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A shot to the body from Squibbles misses and Dong counters with a left and a right that stings Squibbles. The fight stays on the outside here - Squibbles looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dong checks a leg kick.

Squibbles keeps the fight on the outside. Dong throws a sloppy head kick and Squibbles moves out of range easily. Dong slips a straight right by Squibbles. Squibbles tries to clinch there but Dong circles away.
Squibbles looks to land a right hand but Dong moved out of range. Squibbles throws a head kick that misses and Dong counters with a takedown into side control. Squibbles takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Squibbles is looking to get back to his feet here but Dong is keeping cool and he's managed to take Squibbles's back. Squibbles is trying to get back to his feet but Dong has full control of the position and if anything, Squibbles has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Timmy Rosario seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rosario has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Smith. John gets control of Rat's arms and successfully pulls guard. John will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. John has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. John looking to control.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Thompson tries for a takedown but Trumpette circles away easily and Trumpette counters with a stiff right hand. Trumpette slaps away a takedown attempt from Thompson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Thompson shoots in but Trumpette avoids the takedown attempt easily. A little feinted left hand from Trumpette on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Donny Trumpette has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timmy Thompson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thompson shoots in for a double leg but Trumpette sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Trumpette is looking to counter punch.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boss Yonic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darius Machnacz! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yonic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machnacz is defended easily by Yonic. Yonic misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Machnacz.
Machnacz tries to sprawl but Yonic drives through with a takedown into half guard. Machnacz pushes Yonic off and gets back to his feet. Yonic motions for Machnacz to come forward. Yonic throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Machnacz with the counter takedown but Yonic avoids it easily. Yonic shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Machnacz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Yonic is working away from the top position though. Yonic is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Yonic has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yonic is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Machnacz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yonic. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yonic works his way into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Machnacz manages to regain half guard. Good work. Yonic not landing any meaningful shots this time. Machnacz wants to get back to full guard. Well, if Yonic is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Machnacz is trying to control but can't.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Yonic passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Machnacz! Yonic wants to take Machnacz's back here but Machnacz is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Yonic controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Yonic is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Machnacz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Yonic controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yonic with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Yonic scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Yonic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Machnacz can do to turn this around? Yonic advances to mount. Yonic jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Machnacz manages to avoid the submission attempt. Yonic taking a breather here. Machnacz explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Excellent takedown into side control there by Yonic. Machnacz is looking to get back to his feet here but Yonic is keeping cool and he's managed to take Machnacz's back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Machnacz preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Yonic. I really don't envy Machnacz right now.
Machnacz is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Yonic is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Boss Yonic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Machnacz just trying to survive but Yonic is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machnacz is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Yonic gets his way!
Yonic is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Machnacz tries to roll but Yonic sticks to his back.
Yonic controls the position. Yonic is looking for the choke from the back position but Machnacz is controlling his hands well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Machnacz manages to stand up with Yonic still on his back. Eventually Yonic drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. The fighters circling - Yonic throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fight stays on the outside here - Machnacz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yonic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Machnacz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Machnacz is trying to keep Yonic in close.
Yonic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Yonic pushing down on Machnacz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boss Yonic dominated that second round. That's time! Yonic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Machnacz tries for a takedown but Yonic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Machnacz fails to land the takedown. Yonic appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Yonic throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Machnacz was covering up waiting for the punch and Yonic finishes the takedown easily into guard. Yonic is stalling in the full guard. Yonic passes into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yonic is taking a breather. Machnacz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Machnacz looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boss Yonic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Machnacz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yonic feinted with a counter takedown. Yonic throws a hook to the side of Machnacz's head but Machnacz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yonic shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Yonic passes to full mount! Yonic fails to take his opponent's back. Yonic content just to control the position here. Machnacz throwing hammer fists to the chest of Yonic. What's that going to do exactly? Yonic lands a big elbow. Yonic controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yonic is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Machnacz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Machnacz wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Yonic raining down hammerfists from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Yonic looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
This has been an exciting period of action! Yonic controlling the position easily from mount. Darius Machnacz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Machnacz swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Boss Yonic showed his dominance in that final round. Well Yonic has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Boss Yonic wins by unanimous decision! Boss Yonic spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
