Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Freds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Fred Freds was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edgar Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Freds! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Freds is looking to get back to is feet but Alves passes into side control.
Freds takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Alves cracks Freds with a big right hand but Freds just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Alves creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A lull in the action here. Alves scores with punches from side control.
Freds is rocked! Alves lands a strong strike to the head of Freds. That's dazed him! Alves looking to finish here. Freds is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Alves lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edgar Alves! After the fight, Edgar Alves was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seal shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zwirn counters with a one-two to the body. Seal tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zwirn scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Seal misses with a wild combination.
Seal fails with the takedown. Baby Seal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Seal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Seal fails with a takedown attempt. Thomas Zwirn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baby Seal. Zwirn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Seal throws a right and a left that Zwirn avoids nicely. Seal closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Seal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zwirn circles away. Seal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Seal throws a head kick that misses and Zwirn counters with a one-two to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zwirn's jab looks to have found its range, popping Seal under the eye. Zwirn stuffs the takedown attempt from Seal. Seal gets slowly back to his feet. An attempted straight right counter from Zwirn misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seal tries for a takedown but Zwirn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Seal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Seal tries to keep at a distance but Zwirn has taken the fight into the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zwirn. A short uppercut from Zwirn. Zwirn scores with a shot to the side of Seal's head. Zwirn lands a body shot in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Seal is looking to break free of the clinch but Zwirn has double underhooks. Zwirn lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A short right from Zwirn. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Seal wants to stall.
Still in the clinch, Zwirn scores with a nice short uppercut. Zwirn misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Seal.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Zwirn creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Zwirn lands with a light punch inside. Zwirn lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Zwirn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Seal throws a head kick that Zwirn semi-blocks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zwirn connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Seal lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Seal misses with a two punch combination.
Seal throws a lazy right hand but Zwirn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Zwirn misses with an uppercut. Seal slips under a jab from Zwirn. Seal steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Zwirn. Seal throws a right and a left that Zwirn avoids nicely. Seal does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Jab, jab by Zwirn - just one landing. Zwirn is breathing heavily. Zwirn avoids the head kick by Seal.
Seal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Seal will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Zwirn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Zwirn is looking for a counter combo. Seal loads up on a big right hand but Zwirn slips the punch. Seal looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Seal throws a wild body kick that Zwirn sees coming a mile off. Zwirn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Seal throws a leg kick that is checked and Zwirn counters with a straight right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zwirn blocks a head kick by Seal.
Zwirn is looking to counter punch. Seal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Seal's coach down at Cozad MMA Montreal was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Seal's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Seal swinging wildly here.

Seal's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Zwirn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Seal scrambles back to his feet. Seal fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zwirn avoids it really well and circles away. Zwirn darts in and clinches Seal up against the ropes. Zwirn creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. A left hand lands to the body for Zwirn.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Seal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Zwirn dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Zwirn is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Seal misses with a low kick. A telegraphed right hand from Zwirn misses the target. Zwirn slaps away a takedown attempt from Seal, before circling back to the center of the mat. Seal tries for a takedown but Zwirn circles away easily and Zwirn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Seal takes a shot right to the bread basket. Baby Seal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Seal thumps Zwirn with a low kick. Thomas Zwirn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Seal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Zwirn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zwirn wants it to stay on the feet. A big left from Zwirn misses. Seal with the counter takedown but Zwirn avoids it easily. Zwirn lands with a shot to the body. Seal looks to land a right hand but Zwirn moved out of range. Seal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zwirn pinned against the ropes. Zwirn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Zwirn is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Zwirn slaps away a takedown attempt from Seal, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's four minutes gone in the round. Zwirn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Seal has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Seal takes a swing at Zwirn's ribcage but misses. Seal doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Seal is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Nice takedown defense from Zwirn. No joy for Seal on that attempt. Seal tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zwirn swivels and escapes. Seal fails to land with a series of punches.
Thomas Zwirn is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Seal shoots in and drives through. Zwirn sprawls well. The fight moves into the clinch position. Zwirn lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Seal backwards. Zwirn working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Zwirn creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Seal gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The fighters circle momentarily. Zwirn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. No luck for Seal with that takedown attempt.

Thomas Zwirn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baby Seal. Zwirn connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Seal is defended easily by Zwirn. Seal's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Zwirn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Seal shoots for a takedown but Zwirn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Seal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zwirn looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zwirn scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Seal scores with a kick to the midsection. Seal doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Seal takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Seal has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Seal misses with a straight right. Zwirn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Seal wants to counter the offense by Zwirn and move into the clinch position. Zwirn keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Zwirn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Zwirn connects with the punch. Zwirn jabs at Seal's body. Zwirn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Seal's head. Zwirn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Zwirn clinches up against the ropes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Seal has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Zwirn landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Zwirn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Seal closes the distance and clinches up with Zwirn, looking for a takedown. Seal pushes Zwirn against the ropes but Zwirn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Seal misses with a takedown attempt - Zwirn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Seal misses with a series of wild punches.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Zwirn showed his dominance in that final round. Well Zwirn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Miller is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Miller looks for the body kick but Lau saw that one coming. Lau fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miller manages to avoid it. Miller looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lau is looking to chop away at Miller's legs. Lau misses with a body shot.
Lau changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Miller tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lau wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Miller wants to control but Lau postures up. Miller is looking to regain half guard here but Lau keeps moving and retains side control. Lau controlling from side mount. Lau wants to control but Miller is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lau controlling the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lau wants to control for a moment but Miller uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Lau slips a nice elbow through Miller's hands, connecting with Miller's forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Miller is looking for a sweep. Lau is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lau slips a nice elbow through Miller's hands, connecting with Miller's forehead. Miller is trying to control but can't.
Lau keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lau throwing shots but Miller is blocking nicely. Lau landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Miller works his way to full guard. Good work. Lau keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Miller's head. Lau's corner is telling him to maintain position. Miller looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lau scoring with some ground and pound. Lau pushes down on Miller's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lau performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Miller is looking to control Lau's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Miller avoid being mounted? Lau takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lau is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miller is just riding it out for now. Lau eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lau slows the pace down in half guard. Lau uses his free foot to push down on Miller's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Miller. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Miller is in a horrible position here. Lau smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lau lands a couple of good shots and Miller has given up his back, trying to escape the position! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lau closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Miller quickly recovers to half guard. Lau not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lau content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lau working Miller over with strikes. Lau slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller won't allow Lau to pass to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lau winds up and cracks Miller with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Lau seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lau not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lau perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lau is looking to take a break and control but Miller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Miller is breathing heavily. Lau is nestled in close to Miller, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lau throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lau passes the guard and advances to mount! Lau working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lau postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miller looks a forlorn figure.

Miller is still in real trouble! Can Lau finish him? Lau unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Miller wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Lau celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Lau! Joe Lau decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacob Miller! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller misses with a two punch combination.
Miller tries a head kick but it misses.
Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Joe.
Miller misses with a few strikes there.
Joe moves out of range of the strikes. Joe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Joe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Miller is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Joe throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe trying to advance position but Miller counters by regaining guard. Joe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Joe works a leg free and moves into half guard. Joe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Miller is looking to control Joe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Miller avoid being mounted? Joe misses with a head shot. Miller uses the momentum to regain guard. Joe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Miller's guard. Miller avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Joe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Miller is trying to get back to full guard. Joe throwing shots but Miller is blocking nicely. Joe lands with a punch from half guard. Joe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Miller defends it well. Joe with the ground and pound but Miller uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe has gone for a leg lock! Miller slips out almost immediately though and dives into Joe's guard. Joe controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself. Joe being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Joe looking to control but Miller passes into half guard.
Joe is not content to let Miller control the position. Joe wants to improve his position but Miller is controlling well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Joe wants to control but Miller is keeping busy.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Joe will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Joe checks the leg kick. Miller looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Miller throws a series of punches but Joe moves out of range. A nice leg kick lands there from Miller. Miller keeps Joe at a distance using the push kick. Miller throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Miller misses the target. Miller will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Joe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Joe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And Miller tries to counter it with a takedown but Joe pushes his down on his head and steps out. Jacob Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Miller throws a body shot but no joy. Joe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Joe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Joe trying to control the action but Miller is working from the bottom. Joe Joe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe is staying tight to Miller's torso, preventing him from escaping. Miller regains half guard, as Joe was trying to land strikes. Miller is looking for a sweep. Joe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Joe is thwarting Miller's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Miller wants to get back to full guard. Joe is trying to control the action in half guard but Miller is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Miller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Joe is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe throws an elbow that misses. Miller uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Joe's guard. Nice move by Miller! Joe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there. Joe is working hard here to advance position. Joe throws his legs up looking for a submission but Miller uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Miller controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe tries to improve position but can't. Miller wants to control but Joe is keeping him busy. Joe struggling a bit here. Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Joe keeps working. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Miller leaves Joe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away. Miller throws a counter combo. Miller throws a head kick but Joe moves out of range.

Joe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Miller wants to sweep here but Joe controlling him for the moment. Miller has control of Joe's left arm, preventing Joe from doing any damage. Joe is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Miller keeping moving, preventing Joe from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Joe gets a double leg takedown into Miller's guard. Joe preventing the sweep. Joe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Joe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Joe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Miller is trying to control Joe's posture but Joe avoids it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Reynolds. No joy for Forty on that attempt. Forty lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reynolds circles away quickly and effectively. Reynolds throws a big counter combination but Forty scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Reynolds cracks Forty with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Forty falls to his knees and Reynolds doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Reynolds! Alexander Reynolds thanked the fans post fight for their support. In defeat, One Forty stepped up to the mic, saying 'Everyone picks on the big idiot, don't they?'.

Jab from Jones. Jab by Tinto. Jones wants to clinch. Tinto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones scores with a crisp jab that stopped Tinto in his tracks. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tinto throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Tinto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Daniel Tinto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tinto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tinto tried to score with a low kick but Jones checks it. Jones checks the leg kick nicely there.
Jones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw. Jones scores with a hook to the body. Tinto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeremy Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Motts! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Motts on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lyon darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lyon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Motts at a distance.
Lyon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Motts swivels and escapes. A nice side step and Motts releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Excellent takedown into side control there by Lyon. Motts is trying to improve his position. Motts is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lyon takes a little break here. Motts wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Motts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lyon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lyon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lyon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lyon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Lyon advances to full mount. Lyon lands a big elbow. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Motts can do anything to dispel that myth. Lyon landing strikes from the mount and Motts is in trouble! Lyon lands a couple of good shots and Motts has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lyon is landing with strikes from the back. Lyon lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Lyon working for a choke but Motts is defending well. Lyon lands with a hammerfist to the side of Motts's head.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lyon working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Lyon has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Motts has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Lyon lands an elbow to the side of the head. Motts is covering up but some of the strikes from Lyon are getting through and doing damage.
Lyon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strangler throws a head kick that misses and Vader counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A cross from Vader lands. Vader loads up on a big right hand but Strangler slips the punch. Vader throws a body shot but no joy. Vader avoids a punch combination nicely.
Strangler lands a nice looking kick to the body. Vader takes a step back to recover. Strangler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Strangler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vader. Strangler pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Strangler lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Vader displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Strangler throws out the jab. Strangler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vader steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Strangler. Vader looks to land a left hand but Strangler moved out of range nicely. It looked like Strangler was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Vader lands a jab to Strangler's midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strangler scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A jab from Vader misses. Strangler throws a leg kick that misses. Strangler misses with a low kick. Vader doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Strangler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vader. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Vader! But no joy. Strangler forces Vader back against the ropes and clinches. Strangler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vader backwards. Strangler stalling in the clinch but Vader improves position. Strangler blocking some punches.

Vader paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Vader lands a right hook to the body.
Strangler moves out of range as Vader strikes. A head kick by Strangler misses and Vader counters with a stiff right hand. Vader takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Vader is rocked! Strangler misses with a leg kick and Vader cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Vader is still on wobbly legs! Can Strangler finish him? Strangler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vader was well out of range. Poor timing from Strangler. Strangler lands an overhand right. A head kick by Strangler misses and Vader counters with a straight right hand. A shot to the body from Strangler misses and Vader counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Vader seems to have recovered his senses. Strangler throws a head kick but Vader moves out of range.
Vader looks like he wants to counter punch here. Strangler tries to work over Vader's front leg with a kick but Vader checks it. Vader might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Strangler throws the left hand but Vader avoids the punch easily. Vader takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Vader throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Strangler sees it coming and avoids it easily. Strangler moves into the clinch successfully.

Vader throws an overhand right that lands on Strangler's shoulder, as Strangler tries to avoid the shot. Strangler moves into range and clinches up with Vader. Strangler presses Vader against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A bit of stalling here from Strangler.
Vader jumps guard but Strangler turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Strangler lands with a left to the head. Strangler will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Vader up against the ropes. Strangler scores with a shoulder strike. Strangler lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vader backwards. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Strangler lands a high kick to the side of Vader's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Strangler dives into guard, looking to finish. Strangler seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Strangler gets to his feet - Vader follows without any prompting. Strangler pushes Vader up against the ropes in a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A quick uppercut on the inside from Strangler. Strangler digs a right hand into Vader's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Vader's gas tank. Strangler lands a big uppercut and Vader is down! He's in big trouble - Strangler follows him to the mat! Strangler decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

This has been an exciting period of action! Vader misses with a hook. Strangler throws a quick counter head kick but Vader was just out of range. Strangler lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Strangler scores with a nice right hand.
Strangler stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Vader moves in looking to clinch but Strangler pushes him off. Strangler connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vader momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A combination from Strangler does no damage. Strangler clinches with his opponent.

St Petersburg Strangler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vader tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Strangler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Vader connects with a looping right hand.

and Vader counters with a lovely straight right hand! Vader fails with an attempt to clinch.
Strangler has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Strangler, right into the meat.

Vader is trying to push Strangler away but Strangler has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Vader jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strangler walks away with a smile on his face. Vader gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Vader throws a lazy right hand but Strangler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Strangler gets tackled into the ropes by Vader. Vader maintains the clinch. Vader throws a head punch that misses. A hook to the body from Strangler.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Strangler. Strangler working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Strangler breaks the clinch.
Vader tries to close the distance and clinch up but Strangler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Strangler swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Strangler loads up on a big right hand but Vader slips the punch. Strangler lands a body shot.

Strangler thinks about countering with a body kick. Strangler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Strangler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vader, pushing him back against the ropes. Vader's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Strangler pushes Vader against the ropes. Strangler is working some dirty boxing. Strangler pushes off with a quick right hook! Vader goes down! Vader tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Strangler moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). St Petersburg Strangler! St Petersburg Strangler retains his featherweight title! After the fight, St Petersburg Strangler was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Darko Vader was interviewed post fight and said 'I wanna thank all my fans for their support, and to the people who came to witness this great match. Gotta go my chika babes are now waiting in my room. '.
