The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Templar takes one on the button. The fighters circling - Templar throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kukko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Templar to the ground. Kukko is now in Templar's guard. Templar is looking for a triangle but Kukko pushes his legs off easily.
Templar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kukko is aware though and is defending well. Templar is looking for a triangle but Kukko pushes his legs off easily.
Templar being controlled here, momentarily. Kukko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Templar for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kukko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kukko tries to free his leg and advance position but Templar is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kukko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kukko postures up in Templar's guard and throws a big left but Templar blocks it. Kukko wants to pass the guard but Templar is keeping the position. Templar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kukko defends well. Templar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kukko is aware though and is defending well. Kukko showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Templar keeping moving, preventing Kukko from controlling successfully.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Templar staying out of range there. Kukko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kukko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Templar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kukko pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kukko controlling the action here. Templar tries to roll over but Kukko keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kukko missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kukko throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kukko trying to control the action but Templar is working from the bottom. Kukko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kukko is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kukko seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Templar is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Rokki Kukko! Rokki Kukko decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dovah-Kinn cracks a nice hook into Skayias's ribs. Dovah-Kinn chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dovah-Kinn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Skayias scores with a three punch combo!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Skayias tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dovah-Kinn was well out of range. Poor timing from Skayias. Skayias takes a body punch but keeps moving. Skayias doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A combination from Skayias does no damage. Skayias moves out of range of the leg kick from Dovah-Kinn. Skayias checks a leg kick nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lazy left from Dovah-Kinn finds it's target.
Skayias is rocked! Dovah-Kinn throws a pinpoint strike between Skayias's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Skayias crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Dovah-Kinn scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Laat Dovah-Kinn! An out of breath Laat Dovah-Kinn thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

I think McDonald might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Get Busy Living. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hanma's choice of entrance music: Disl Automatic (feat. K-rino) - Battle Cry. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Hanma. No joy for McDonald on that attempt. Hanma keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hanma chopping away at his opponent's legs.
We've been informed that Hanma has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Hanma fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McDonald. Baki Hanma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A clash of legs there as McDonald blocks the low kick. Hanma avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McDonald feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hanma is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McDonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Hanma is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McDonald might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hanma is keen to just control but McDonald is a slippery customer. Hanma takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McDonald is trying to maintain the position but Hanma is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hanma manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hanma throws a solid leg kick but McDonald takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hanma. Hanma feints and then cracks McDonald's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McDonald down. Hanma with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That kick from Hanma tenderised McDonald's leg. McDonald is trying to keep his angry face on. Hanma connects with an inside leg kick. Baki Hanma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A good leg kick by Hanma. A bone on bone clash there as McDonald blocks the leg kick.
Hanma feints and then cracks McDonald's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McDonald down. McDonald misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanma moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hanma tried to score with a low kick but McDonald checks it. An inside leg kick from Hanma misses. Hanma fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McDonald has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A low kick from Hanma misses and McDonald counters by moving into the clinch. Hanma lands a nice shot to the body. McDonald is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. McDonald creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Hanma lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Baki Hanma seems to be getting the better of the standup. McDonald throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hanma. Hanma throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Hanma leaves McDonald with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. McDonald pushes Hanma up against the cage in a clinch. Ronnie McDonald has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McDonald tries a knee to the head but Hanma blocks it.

County gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Thoreson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Thoreson wanted to stand there but County had control of the position. Thoreson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circling - County throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mats Thoreson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thoreson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says County as he avoids it easily. Thoreson gets cracked there but stands up to it.

County has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bonsai Club MMA in the buildup to the fight. County cracks Thoreson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. County is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Thoreson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. County quickly recovers to half guard. Well, if Thoreson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Eremeev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Robinson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Robinson has a loose triangle.
