And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Gregor!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregor connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Gregor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gregor cracks Chugman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A clash of legs there as Gregor blocks the low kick.
A little jabbing left from Gregor on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gregor throws a series of punches but Chugman avoids them all with ease.
No joy there for Gregor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chugman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gregor sprawls well initially but Chugman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Chugman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gregor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Chugman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gregor is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gregor can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chugman has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gregor defend it? Chugman steps over the head and cranks it - Gregor is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chugman!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Braga instigates a clinch.
Braga holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Braga's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Braga seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Bogard has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Braga uses from the top position.

Braga seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bogard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Braga doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Braga manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bogard has his foot on Braga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Braga works his way back into a safe position though.

Bogard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Andy Bogard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Bogard counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Braga thinking.
Bogard feints a jab promting Braga to slip. Bogard then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Braga slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Bogard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bogard throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Braga drives through and clinches with Bogard against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bogard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Braga is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Braga slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
You can see the frustration on Bogard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Braga tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Braga has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bogard sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Bogard moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Braga engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Dan connects with a right hand. Sainty shakes it off.
Sainty really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sainty closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sainty lands in his opponent's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sainty is looking for a kimura but Dan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sainty to get the leverage.
Sainty seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Sainty seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dan for as long as he can get away with.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sainty works his way into full mount!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dan is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Sainty has taken his back.
We've been hearing good reports from Sainty's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sainty is defended easily by Dan.
Dirtbag Dan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sainty fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dan manages to avoid it.
Dan is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Dan is looking to chop away at Sainty's legs.
And Sainty counters with a quick kick to the body but Dan blocks it.
Sainty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dan tries to avoid it but Sainty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dan to the ground. Dan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sainty backing away here, and Dan unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Troot on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've been informed that Clark has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Clark tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Troot was well out of range. Poor timing from Clark.

Clark takes the fight into the clinch.

Troot is trying to pull guard but Clark turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Gin Kobra has got the better of the ground game so far.

Yamamoto drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kobra dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yamamoto has his foot on Kobra's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kobra works his way back into a safe position though.

Gin Kobra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kobra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A jab from Hut finds it's way through Bell's defenses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hut. That's going to slow Bell down.
George Hut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bell has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hut is trying to keep an underhook but Bell manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Bell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hut with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bell has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hut defend it? Bell steps over the head and cranks it - Hut is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bell!
