Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Egbert Van Der Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cal Tennant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cal Tennant told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Egbert Van Der Dick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Cal Tennant! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Der Dick shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tennant misses with a few strikes there.
Van Der Dick shoots in for a takedown but Tennant shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tennant tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Van Der Dick was well out of range. Poor timing from Tennant. Van Der Dick bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Van Der Dick scoring well with a low kick there.
Tennant bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tennant working the body and head with strikes. Van Der Dick gets back to half guard. Van Der Dick is trying is best to control the position here. Tennant throwing shots but Van Der Dick is blocking nicely. Van Der Dick is holding on to half guard well. Tennant seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tennant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Van Der Dick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Van Der Dick thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Van Der Dick tries to clinch but Tennant moves out of range. Tennant wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Van Der Dick has him pressed against the cage. Van Der Dick is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tennant can't fight it off and eventually Van Der Dick manages to take the fight to the floor. Tennant looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Van Der Dick slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Egbert Van Der Dick dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Van Der Dick shoots in and bounces Tennant off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Van Der Dick trying to control the position from guard on top but Tennant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Der Dick wanted to stand there but Tennant had control of the position. Van Der Dick landing some decent shots from guard. Van Der Dick gets to his feet. Tennant looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Tennant is breathing heavily.

Van Der Dick gets control of Tennant's arms and successfully pulls guard. Van Der Dick will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Van Der Dick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tennant manages to get himself to full guard.
Van Der Dick postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Van Der Dick trying to control but Tennant is working from the bottom. Van Der Dick stands up and waves to Tennant to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Der Dick shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tennant is trying to defend but Van Der Dick finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Tennant on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Tennant has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Van Der Dick is working away from the top position though. Van Der Dick passes to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Der Dick can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tennant is looking to escape. Van Der Dick is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Tennant is forced to tap! Great finish!

10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Stan Ross! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross stuns kaka with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ross shoots in but no luck this time. Nice takedown defense from kaka. No joy for Ross on that attempt. Ross shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as kaka sprawls well. kaka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ross gets slowly back to his feet. nate kaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Ross. kaka gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ross to score an easy takedown into full guard. kaka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ross doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ross manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ross with a nice head shot there. Ross is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ross makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ross lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Munoz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Munoz closes the distance and clinches. Munoz lands a shot to the body. Munoz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Munoz throws a head kick but Cortez moves out of range.

"I'm sorry" says Cortez. Munoz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cortez.

Xavier Cortez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Munoz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cortez tries to avoid it but Munoz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cortez to the ground. Cortez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Munoz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bantum throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Chor Thanasukarn lands a jab-cross combination. Chor Thanasukarn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bantum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A slow jab from Bantum misses its intended target. Bantum misses with a low kick. Chor Thanasukarn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bantum tries to clinch but Chor Thanasukarn moves out of range. Bantum thows a left - swing and a miss! Chor Thanasukarn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bantum to score with a decent uppercut. Bantum throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Chor Thanasukarn lands a jab to the head.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Smasha has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Smasha and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Eins lands a jab to the nose. Smasha throws a shot from downtown. Eins moves away and avoids it. Smasha on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smasha moves away. Eins jabbing away but nothing is landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Leanne Smasha will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Hall takes a step backwards and waves Gonzales back to his feet - he wants the finish! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hall fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
